 Posted: Fri Sep 28, 2007 9:32 am Subject: Just received call from Up Front Cash...HELP!!!!

I sent Up Front Cash a letter stating that I would pay them the balance of the principle for the loan I got. I just got a call from them and they asked me to call them back. Do I get the letter in front of me and then call them back??

No don't call them back. Fire your letter off to them in another email. I don't take any calls from anyone. All they are going to do is try to upset you and use illegal tactics to try & collect. It's not worth the hassel or headache! Don't take any calls! Just send them another email & fax the letter if you'd like. Anything they have to say they can say to you in an email.

Lucy, this must be the day for phonecalls. I would, but then I get nervous dealing with this stuff. If you feel comfortable enough to talk to them without the letter then do it. Do you know the information well enough?

In my letter it clearly states to not call me.. I will perhaps fax them the letter and email it...

I wouldnt call them back.....email or fax the letter again. They will try to test you.

lucy, whenever possible, do NOT speak with anyone via telephone. You want everything documented. Fax, email, USPS, whatever. You want as much information in writing as you can possibly get. And you do not need to be talking to these idiots only to be threatened and harrassed. If ever, do not take the calls. Respond via email/fax/mail. If these people mess with you, I might be tempted to call them myself!

lucy, I have not taken phone calls from these people. If i talk to them I pretend I am someone else and tell them I am not here. Today was the first time i talked to someone becuase I could not get out of it and look where I landed  Cannr gives the best advice.

I agree. DO NOT talk to these people unless you have nerves of steel. Everytime I ever talked to one of them I lost my nerve...It was awful..."but, but, I know my laws," is what I would say, but inside I was saying ..."I think" 
They know if you are unsure and that will use it against you! Writing is the best way.

lucy, if you have any problems, just post. They will eventually respond via email to you. Once they finally get it through their thick skulls you're not going to speak with them via telephone, they will lower themselves to email. I honestly believe they call and call and call so that they can verbally harrass and abuse people and it can't be accounted for. However, by not taking the calls, they have to communicate with you somehow, so they'll email. Then if they have something nice and nasty and illegal to say, you will have documented proof of it. Hang in there, lucy. Just post if they give you any problems.
