I followed the advice of the great minds here Very Happy . I did my research and did the leg work. Make sure you DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you need help with anything, just ask. We will try to answer to the best of our knowledge. The moderaters and debt sameritans are Great in assisting! Very Happy I have not been on forum long, but long enough to learn a whole lot of ins and outs about the PDL business. Good Luck!

Yes, I have been reading alot of posts on here and am beginning to get the hang of this but what do you mean DO YOUR RESEARCH?? Like I said in a previous post, I have a couple from several years ago I know are not paid completely (although I have paid well over the loan amount just with paying extension fees) and I want to make sure those are totally done with if I can. I don't want any more of these collection calls! Thanks for all of your help!

chances are J,if you got these over the internet they are unlicensed.therefore you only owe the principal.if you overpaid in fees then you are done, alot of bottomfeedrs disagree with that, but it's true.in short you probably overpaid and are due refunds, but they count on you not knowing that.

This is unbelievable. I just got another call from them and this time from an 816 area code which is my local area code! I made the mistake of answering the phone and I immediately told him I cannot take calls at work. How can this happen??!!

He said something about Cambridge. I am not sure if he said he was calling from Cambridge or collecting from someone at Cambridge which is something I have not heard from them before. I was so shocked by the call because I had not been answering that I really don't remember what he said. Has anyone heard of anything called Cambridge??

The number he called from was 816-399-0747. Does this sound familiar to anyone? He said he now had "another file" in his office on me. I am sure this is because he keeps giving me names of payday loan companies and I have never had loans with any he mentioned so maybe this is his new tactic.

Have you ever heard of them using different phone numbers to contact a person?

I Googled it too and found a website (maybe it is local) where people said they have gotten calls from this number and when they call it back, the operator says it has been disconnected. Do they use different numbers to contact you sometimes?

I know! I know! But I am kind of freaking out that they are calling me from different numbers now. Is this unusual? Actually, I guess I have read that U.S. National Bank has several different numbers that are listed on this website.
