It sounds like a scam to me. Is this the infamous US National Bank calling you?

It sounds like a scam to me. Is this the infamous US National Bank calling you? Have you spoke with them at all in the past?

Sorry for double post

They call from overseas and use call forwarding numbers in the US to make it look like they are here. I had a business number in a different area code once to match my mailing address which was a mail drop to make it look like I was local when I wasn't. It is the same trick but off shore.

Yes the first call said US National. The others won't say what the debt is they are collecting on. I asked the last guy why would any law enforcement agency employ someone that doesn't speak English to contact US Citizens and then hung up. This was the guy that called right back and left the message about being arrested.

You can do a search on Ripp-Off Report.com about them. You will find it quit interesting.

They are calling my work number. They don't have my extension, so every call is going through the switchboard. I appoligized to the receiptionest because there are so many calls and ask that she not give my extension number to them. Thankfully she is understanding because she had a family member that had their identy stolen and knows the hassle these things create.
Has anyone figured out a way to get them to stop calling? I can't do a fog horn (as much as I would like to) because I am at work. Thanks for your help.

Because I wouldn't answer my phone, they asked the front desk to transfer them to the head of HR. He just came and talked to me about it. He told me they said a bunch of bad stuff about me and that I would be arrested. He wrote down some of the information and then goggled them. He told me not to pay them because this is some kind of scam. They also blocked the number. How embarrassing, but at least they can't call anymore.

that granny was a blessing in disguise.i know alot of people
don't like to admit or tell there co-workers about there pdl's,but
they being your co-workers should be your allies, not your
enemies.at least that is what it seems like to me,too many
people leery about telling anyone about the pdl's.i was that way too,but once i told my family and co-workers my life got
better because they helped me with the abusive calls.
