Bonnie,
Please refer to your loan documents under the governing law policy.
Also, we are willing to make an arrangement for you, for only the amount of
$250.00. You will need to mail this amount in full within 30 days from
today October 1st, 2007. If payment is not received in full by November
1st, 2007 we will have no choice but to sell your debt to an outside
collection company. This is not a negotiable agreement, and this will be the
only offer made to you.
Please mail your full money order payment of $250.00 only to the following
address;
VC Funding, Inc.
8700 Stateline Rd.
Suite # 305
Then I get this today dated 10-02-2007
Dear BONNIE ,
We show the following account(s) have been sent to collections:
Your account with VC Funding was sent to AIS Services, 888-920-1300
Thank you,
ICollect |

Send them back an email and blast them! Also, I see they pointed out the "refer to our governing law section of the contract"..if they are operating illegally in your state not sure why they think that is leverage (duh).

That is crap, sending you to ICollect after offering you a settlement the day before. Did you respond to the email where they offered to settle for the $250?

this is the reply I got back, The jerks.
At the time of the first email, your transaction had not returned to us, and we still held your account. However, on October 2nd, your payment returned as a closed account and automatically sold your debt to an outside collections company. We no longer hold your account because of this and you will have to have to settle your account with I Collect. The toll free number to call is 866-856-1024.
Thank you

WHAT???? Do they even read their own emails that they send??? You had until Nov 1 to send the $ and it said nothing about a closed account, etc. If your transaction had not yet been returned at that time, then why allow you to make an arragement??

I'm dealing with these fools myself (AIS that is). I really hope they try to sue me. I'm looking forward to it actually. One question though Bonnie, have you received anything in writing from AIS? I want to send them a debt validation letter, but I've only received the email from the PDL (Arrowhead) so not sure how to respond yet.
Any new updates to your situation?
Good luck, I really hope this works out for you.

What morons one day they offer a settlement and the very next day they have turned into the collections department, would that be the person sitting right next to them in the next cubicle.

I actually got a bill today from AIS Services stating that I owe $115.30. This was for a pdl at CashnetUSA. I have been working with T & C but have not made any payments on my plan for 3 months due to my husband being out of work. We are picking up payments again in May after we get our tax stimulus and my husband gets established with the new job he just started. The weird thing is that it was reported to the credit bureau several months ago before I ever got anything in writing. I also don't think the amounts are correct. Should I still send them a debt validation letter or is it too late for that? Also, I don't think AIS is licensed to collect in AZ. If they are not, then what should I do? I'm going to call T & C and advise them of the letter, as I think they were sending payments to Legal Mediation Practice address, which is the same people. Any advice?

I have been receiving calls from Kelly at VC Funding. I havenot heard from this place in over a year. I believe that I do owe them some money, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have a fax number for them? I want to fax them "the letter".
