Default help

live in Virginia and have 6 pdls out -
Sonic Payday - $217.97. for nonpayment of last loan
Payday Services - $650.
Cashadvancenetwork - $500.
Paycheck Today - $420
Cash Today - $420.
do I have to pay them back -They have tried debiting my checking account twice and each time they were returned because of insufficient funds and I had over 900 in NSF How do I go about telling them I don't have to pay because I know they are illegal in the Commonwealth of VIrginia but the pdls are in different states I have also applied for debt consolidation help with the Oak View Law Group. Please let me know what to tell them when they start calling me on Monday and they do call me at work.

Also what is the letter everyone is talking about to the PDLs to get loans PIFs?

Karen

hello.i see you listed how much borrowed.can you recall how much was debited in illegal fees by each one?anything debited by each loan goes towards the loan.the letter is in the third sticky at the top of this forum.try to see if you can come up with the amounts.i'm guessing they debited already by the 900.00 negative balance.

What are the amounts you paid towards these loans so far?? Please list that information so we can further assist you.

I am also in the commonwealth of VA.

You wrote physical checks to these lenders. Are they internet loans?

to answer your question about SONIC.if you truly owe that amount pay it by money order only.about the NSF'S.some have counted them as the pdl's violated even there illegal contract with there debiting.it is up to you.

You are morally obligated to pay back what you borrowed form these lenders even though they are Illegal in your state. That is why we asked how much have they taken from you so far. If they have taken more than the principal loan borrowed then you are finished with them.

Try to have the bank put your account on deposit status only or freeze it untill you can get the negative alance cleared up. Hopefully this will stop the NSF fees from piling up :?

actually.if you can find out ho much was truly debited by each.we can determine how much if anything you owe.sometimes places like OAKVIEW and T&C do serve a purpose, but sometimes you can do it yourself.

You seriously need to review your bank statements and add up the total amount finance charges from these PDL companies.

I do not think NSF fees from your bank counts towards these loans. Being they were not paid to the company directly. Try to speak to a branch manager at your bank and get some of those fees reversed if possible.

Rollovers and Exstension fees are Illegal in the state of VA. So any of those charges by the company counts towards the principal amount borrowed

the bank did zero my account- my church wrote a letter to the bank stating my financial difficulties. I have to open a new account with them for them to completely close the old account. I extended the loans several times and was going to pay them off but came throught some bad finances so they payoffs didn't go through - am in the collections with the loans - would the letter still help?

So you never made anypayment on these loans at all? Have they been in contacting you??

If that is the case send the letter proposing to pay the principal balance only.

Sonic is licensed in Idaho I think :? They will try to be tough with you.
