After last night's fiasco with ARM and Paycheck today I have been really discouraged and stressed that I made the wrong decision to end the PDL hell this way. I have repeatedly emailed and faxed my PDL's to revoke ACH, revoke any wage assignments and withdraw permission to contact my employers, me at work or to call any of my references. The contact of work and family is my biggest fear. I have stated all contact must be directly to me via email or US mail. Who knows if this will stop them.
I had filed with the NY AG at the end of June, I still haven't heard from his office yet. I went back to the site and you can email him direct so I did and explained all that was going on and pretty much pleaded for his help or at the very least advice on what I should do next.
The guys from ARM told me they were from Jacksonville Florida but the only thing I can find is North Miami Beach Florida so I'm going to file with BBB on them and Paycheck Today for engaging them against me when I have overpaid my loan at the tune of $530. They want even more than that to settle. Things are getting crazy.

Don't let the companies bug you. Whenever you find them violating the laws, file your complaints with the state AG. They will send you a follow up on the investigations done on the companies. If you have any free legal assistance in your area, get help from them.

MPEREZ, please relax. It is going to get better. Just think of when you came here, how bad things were and how much better they are already. I know it's easier said than done but you have done a great job and we are all here whenever you need to vent. Smile

I've had my best luck when I filed my complaint through the Better Business Bureau.

mperez, don't give up. You've been fighting the fight and you've been getting results. We've all be tracking your progress. You're doing great. If it means filing complaints again (and I know it's a pain), then file them again. And I know it gets sooooo old. I'm about tired of it myself. But, Lord, when they keep asking for money when you've already overpaid or paid the maximum, it's just not right. And they have no legal recourse for you, do they, are they are illegal to begin with? File the complaints again. Contact the BBB. But do not give in to them when you've already given them so much money they wasn't even due them. mperez, I know it's exhausting. Some days I'm ready to just give up, but then I take a couple days off and then start again. Or they pop up in my email and off we go again. You are in the right. Don't let them take you down. You are owed back. You've been so ripped off. Remember that. We are on your side and we're with you all the way.

Mperez-I'm in NY also, and fighting a lot of the same companies as you....I filed my complaint with the NY AG last Wednesday and already got a response..How did you file it, if you don't mind me asking?

I had a debit from United Cash Loans due to come out on Monday, and they haven't debited my account YET, I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the AG contacting them.

Please don't give up, PM me if you want and we can discuss things..

Mperez - You are doing the right thing! Please have faith! I know along the way things can be discouraging and frustrating, but it is well worth it. You know we are all really rooting for you!

I'm sure any of the regulars on this site would be happy to help you and give you any support you need along your way. We really are pulling for you. You can do this!

As everyone has said before, YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT! Do not let the fear of these places intimidate you! They are operating ILLEGALY! And, they are trying to get you to pay more than you LEGALLY owe them, per your state laws. Also, the State of NY is on your side as they do not allow these lenders to lend to NY residents. YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT! Keep saying that to yourself and DO NOT BACK DOWN! YOU CAN DO IT!

I know that MTE and ARM are EVIL, EVIL devil worshipers, and they fund their evil with our money! Do not give into them!

mperez, are you feeling any better? After reading a bunch of posts regarding ARM, they are crap. And you know the pdl is crap. And you know they are illegal in NY. I know you've filed with your AG; however, I'm big on filing again if you have any "updates". They need to know what's going on. Since you last filed, others issues have come up, so file another complaint. Yes, yes, yes, it's a hassle. But they need to know and they will have the information that you're continuing to be harrassed. Your AG is on your side. Hell, just keep filing complaints. They'll add it to your file as an "update". And your covering yourself as well. I'm thinking about you, mperez!

yes mperez,i am waiting for ag responses too.also have been sent harrasment and threats.suddenly 1 month ago they stopped.i am contacting my ag for progress with my complaints.it takes time,these companies have not gotten there heads around the fact that you are aware of your rights.just keep with it i think your doing great. Very Happy

mperez. . I am in New York too and when I filed all I got back was a thank you and we will put it in our files for future reference. I immediately fired off a direct comment to them and got the same thank you. It seems like New York is going to h**l in a handbasket these days with Elliot getting caught with his pants down and now Patterson admitting to a no no himself. It's no wonder things are getting done in this State! Please don't get discouraged. I know that sometimes it seems like nobody cares and it's really frustrating to me but I keep plugging along. I have gotten some encouragement from the BBB but I am finding that they too, seem to be "hesitant" to get involved. What is wrong with all the powers that be? Keep up the fight. There is not one of us who can do it alone. Keep smiling.

mperez, I do believe has gotten the majority, if not all, of her pdls taken care of with hard work and determination. That girl worked her butt off. She was an inspiration to all of us. Big time! I'm just letting you know since I see people posting on this thread and it's from summer of 2007. She's done very well! Very Happy
