cannr, did you think about changing your cell phone number? I thought it would be a hassle but it really wasn't....I called and they changed it in a matter of minutes and it didn't even cost me anything.

sass, that's the number I changed. That's the number that the pdl's had. Easy, simple. Just cost me to do it. But that's fine. It's worth it to not have it "beeping" at me all the time! LOL!

Default pay day hell

Hey anyone able to help with the next step in taking care of these people? I am lost and I need help. Should I contact them or wait? I thought that I would take care of the store front ones (2) and then go from there, but 200cash.com sent an email and is asking for their money NOW!!! I have not contacted them yet. I was going to send an email stating Ohio law and agree to pay them what I am legally allowed to pay and see where that goes. I sent them a revoke letter for the wage garnashment paper and them replied that I signed it and that if they have to they will take it to court. Does anyone have the exact phone number of someone I can contact at the AG office to contact them about this matter and what I should do. Should I only pay what Ohio legally states that I owe or what? How did you take care of your debt? PLEASE HELP!!!

rgardner, it's okay! Don't freak out! Your pdl isn't even licensed. Do not freak out! You're going to get emails/calls from your pdl's with all kinds of crap. They'll threaten you, they'll lie to you, blah, blah. Bottom line, do not freak out. Don't respond to their email. Stick to your original game plan. Take care of your store front pdl's FIRST. They are licensed and legal. First priority. Then, ignoring the stupid emails from the internet pdl's, you can start writing them all letters stating the law, what you paid, etc.... You know the drill. You can also begin filing complaints against the internet pdl's. However, right now, you're on the right track. Just because you got an email from them, they're not waiting to jump on you. That's their routine. Send out an email trying to scare the crap out of everyone. Don't worry about it. Calm down and stick with your original plan. Just make sure, though, that you do a letter revoking all debit authorization privilidges and wage assignments that you may have signed. Honestly, some of these people claim they will garnish your wages, but they can not actually garnish your wages without a court order. An illegal pdl is not going to get a court order to garnish your wages. Okay? Please don't freak. It's okay. If you have any more questions, please post. Be calm. Ignore the email for now. Let it sit. I'll still be there. Believe me.

Default pay day Hell

Well it has been two weeks and things feel better but they are not. I dont know where I am going now. I feel like I am going crazy. I have to get this under control. This is what I have done: I have a hard freeze on my checking account that I took all these payday loans out with. I opened a new account at a different bank, I changed my home phone number, I talked to my HR dept at work and they are not accepting any phone calls inless it is emergency. I also contacted my store front payday loans but I need to follow up with them to work out a small repayment plan. I contacted my mortage company and told them my situation and they are working with me on my late payments. I know that it isn't much but I do feel like I am getting some where. I do need some help though. I was wondering if someone could tell me if any of these are legal pay day loans in the state of OHIO:
SGQ Processing
MyCashNow
Route 66 Funding
GFSIL
Payday Select
Dinero Investment Gene
Payday OK
Payday Avenue
Zip Cash
E-Payday
Magnum Z LLC
Electronic Pay
Midland Mark
VC Funding
Payday loan yes
Loan shop
yeah I know what a mess. But when you borrow from paul to pay Peter and then borrow from someone else it dont take to long to get in BIG trouble. Please help I need help with the next step that I need to take to get out of payday loan hell.

Thanks to all that reply.

rgardner, you are sooo on the right track. You stick to what you are doing. You've done the bank thing (good), you've contacted your legal store fronts (good), you contacted your employer (good), you contacted your mortgage company (good), you sent out your revoke letters (good). All going well. Do NOT freak out. You're taking care of all that needs to be taken care of. Your pdl's can not get your money. Your store fronts will work out a payment with you. Your employer will not allow you to be harrassed at work. You changed your phone number so pdl's can't call. You're working with your mortgage company. You revoked your pdl's privilidges. You are fine. You can take a deep breath. Don't let the emails from the pdl's throw you into a panic. You're okay. Emails are good. You can let them sit there until you are ready to respond. It's okay to let them wait for a response. Okay? Have you checked at all to see if any of your listed pdl's are licensed? If you haven't, that's okay. I'll check tomorrow for you if you would like. In the meantime, don't respond to your pdl email yet. Of course they're going to demand "thier" money. Expect this from all of them. They will email you to death since they can't get you any other way. It'll be okay. Let them wait until you have the information to respond to them. Post and let me know if you've checked to see if they're licensed. If not, wait until tomorrow and I will check for you and post to let you know. Do not freak. You're okay. We're here for you and we'll help you. You are doing fine right now. Don't let them throw you off track. I'll check on the pdl's for you.

Default Pay day hell

I just responded back to westbury Ventures aka VC Funding. I told them that I have overpaid them and I would like me account marked Paid in Full. I also recited the Ohio laws and that they are not legally doing business in Ohio. I paid these people $1260 for a $200 loan. I feel that they have got ALL that they are getting from me! I hope they get the point.

Oh my God. What an overpayment. Vultures. Did you request the PIF via email or did you speak with them? I'm anxious regarding their reply. I'm glad you told them about not being licensed to do business with you. Are you going to attempt to get a refund out of them? Or just a PIF? Please keep us posted as to what's going on. I hear Westbury are awful, awful, awful.

Rgardner, you have done EVERYTHING so far that you need to. None of those places are legal. Make sure you send that letter to ALL of them. Did you get your AG complaints filed? The AG was very helpful with my pdl's. Westbury was very afraid once the AG got ahold of them in my case.

Well I received 10 emails from William Smith at Westbury Ventures today alone. A matter of fact I think they were a couple minutes apart from each other. What an a** like I am even going to answer him. I have sent my letter and I am trying to get in touch with the AG office to see if they can help. I owe nothing to CASH NET USA!!! WOW what a relief. I also found out that National money store has marked my account PIF! So has 200Cash.com! What a relief. I love you guys for being there when I needed someone to talk to. I have come clean to everyone about my situation and I feel a lot better about everything. I really do feel like I have my life back! It feels so good to be able to pay bills again and not have to worry about how or when I am going to. Thanks a million!

Default payday hell

Well I dont know what the heck they think they are doing. They claim that they follow Delaware law, well if that was the case then they only allow max loan terms of 60 days!!!! and you are only allowed 4 rollovers!!! so I guess they didnt follow their own rules. What scam artists. I guess I am going to email them that they need to look up their own state laws the next time they want to ask me for more money. By the way can you request a refund of a loan that you paid off, but over paid based on Ohio law? Please let me know soon ----Thanks-----

rgardner, which one are you dealing with that's giving you a hard way to go regarding Delare law? Because they're full of crap. And I want to know which pdl it is. Also, the one you're refering to as overpaying - who is it and how much did you borrow and how much did you pay back?

Default payday hell

I had a loan through a company called AIP and I took out the loan on 3/20/07.I paid them $89.00 on 3/30, 4/06, 4/13, and on 4/20 I paid $200.00 plus $89.00. Thus paying them off. I live in Ohio and based on what I am aware of now I well overpaid! I should have only paid $230.00 but instead I paid $556.00!!!

Westbury is the biggest torn in my side right now! I have a couple of loans through them I guess. VC Funding loan was for $200.00 paid them to date $1260. Same for Route 66 Funding loan was for $200.00 paid them to date $1510.00
