I knew the 44, because I've lived in the UK for a year. So when I saw it I figured it was one of the UK PDLs... But I didn't know which ones they were and such....

You do have point about that...the $$. I would just wait for them to call again and then talk to them. You can always hang up if things get too out of hand. Can you narrow it down by going through your pdls and verifying phone numbers, from paperwork, google or bbb.
