Forum, I got a PIF a couple of weeks ago from Zip Cash. I went to Walmart to write out a check and I was denied. I requested through Chex Systems a report and I have been reported by them in the amount of the PIF was agreed.

Any suggestions?

Get a copy of your chexsystem report, dispute it and as long as you have the PIF letter it should reflect that

Please, please tell me you kept a copy of the settlement agreement that Zipcash sent. I settled with this company as well for a PIF and hopefully won't have the same problem with them in the future....ugghhh...could get ugly. You have to dispute it with chexsystems to get them to update it.

I have the contract signed and fax with my receipt, plus the email. But as I can see reading from the forum, some of PDL do not follow what they agree making the consumer unaware. I think everyone should request there file in ChexSystem, especially for the PIF granted.

Did you get the signed copy back after the rep at Zipcash signed it? I had to sign and then fax back and they signed it and sent me a copy for my records, etc. Is that what you received?

You are going to have to clear it up through Chexsystems. As long as you have the backup documents, there shouldnt' be a problem with it.

WHAT??? They reported you to chex systems? What?? Is this normal? Now I'm all paranoid again. You've got to be kidding me. I know you have documentation, queen. And I'm glad you do to cover yourself. But, what?? They reported you to chex? Okay, someone please tell me this is not normal. Please tell me this is just a rare instance. Oh, queen, I'm so sorry this happened to you. Is it easy to dispute with chex? Oh my God. I am in shock here.

She should be able to clear it up with the copies of her documents. I would definitely think it is not normal, but I am no experet on this topic either. They probably just did it to be a giant ARSE and they have succeeded!

Queen, did you get a copy of your chex report?

well cannr, the contract reads that no one can know of the PIF given, only Attorneys. So I am going to call them tomorrow and see what is up. If it does not go as plan then I will contact a lawyer. We have legal program from my employeer where you can consult a lawyer for free up to 20 times a year, so I guess I will be contacting them for help. Though co-workers say they are not all that great and they reply within 72 hours. Do you cannr, after Sonic contact my job and they sent them far away, they have contacted me again and send me emails to loan with them. Are they sick?

Oh my god! This is crazy! Sonic is wanting you to take another loan out? Oh, okay. Here's my new bank account information. Holy crap! I haven't had any of mine emailing me wanting me to take another loan out. Good Lord. See? They are all batty! I think it's to prey on people who think "Oh, okay" and give them their new account information. I pray that doesn't happen. As for using your lawyer contacts at work, excellent idea. It's free and they can give you advise anyway. But, I'd be sure and call them and find out what the heck is going on. That is just so wrong. I am still in shock, queen. If you do call them, please document who you spoke with, what they said, etc. Write it all down. And when the store denied your check, what did they say? That it was denied and then had you call a phone number that was chex systems? And they told you what was on there? Lord, I still can't believe this.

You should get everything documented and I'm glad you have proof to show that they themselves considered your account pif. Cashcentral reported me to ChexSystems, but that was ok, because I still had a defaulted balance with them and they are licensed here. However, it hasn't affected me in the least cashing or writing checks. It would affect me from getting another payday loan however, but that's no skin off my back!

I don't understand how they can affect her writing a check..they are only a PDL company. I can see them blacklisting her from PDL's..but not from writing a check. I just don't get that!

walmart gave me a pc of paper with check system to contact them and ask if i could use another form of payment.

I called chex system and instead fill out a application on line last Friday and got this in the mail. Want me to PM the phone number to you?
The application asks for when you where denied and a you DL#. Confirm address, etc. Nothing exciting.

You should know better than me that some of these ipdl are very devious. Like you said anything to get your new account number. I will never, ever give my account over internet. I'vd learn my lesson yet found this website to make cool friends.

ok...I am confused...I thought Chexsystems only had baring on whether you could have a bank account...I didn't think it messed with your ability to write a check..I thought that was telecheck??

That is what I thought too. telecheck is company that WalMart uses to verify bank accounts, etc. I know that only cause I had that issue with the old bank that is causing me to have a hard time getting a new account. I had to contact them and I made arrangements to pay off, etc. the overdrawn account.
I'm not at all saying it isn't possible, as we all know, all too well, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

I just thought I'd had a similar discussion with Goudah when I was worried about my new account...and I thought she had told me that being reported to Chexsystems wouldn't stop you from writing a check but that your ability to get and keep a bank account.
