I just heard on the news that the payday loan lenders turned in more than twice the amount of signatures for it to be on the November ballad.

Although this is not a good development, bear in mind that what has to happen is that all of these signatures need to be "validated", ie, verified that they are indeed registered voters.
Also, some people sign the same petition more than once, and you can only sign for a measure once, so these signatures will be thrown out, along with any who are not registered voters. So some of these signatures will be tossed, and it will be interesting to see how many.

Its in the dispatch today, a lot of petitions are invalided. Franklin County found 50% signatures are to be invalid.

I'm not surprised. Like I said before, it's probably due to people signing the petition more than once, or not being registered. It happens every time.

Yes it does. The funny thing is I believe deceased names are even on it. I read the story very early this morning, so it could be just a dream. So now they are facing many names not elligible and there is a chance the signatures a company collected for them may be thrown out.
