I was surfing and researching before I came to join this site and came across this website. Thought some of you might be interested in the other side and what they say. This is an quote from its front page

“For the sake of poor and low-income borrowers everywhere..

- Dr. Thomas Lehman, “In Defense of Payday Lending”

Copied content not allowed here - Jason

Here is the rest of the website if your interested. After being trapped in the PDL spiral I would love to meet this person and explain the anxiety that comes with the mistakes of taking out PDL and what Ruin it can lead too. Just my opinion of course. - RM

It's funny. I can remember back when I was really PDL'ing being asked to sign a petition that would go to CA state gvt stating that PDL's were good! As I was starting to wake up to how bad PDL's were, I said no, which put me on their u-know-what list, but it's interesting to see how far people will go to defend PDL's. Kinda like smokers defending smoking. They know it's bad for you, but still do it!

What does this guy have his doctorate in? That website reads like it was written by a first year undergraduate.

to me, it is even more extreme than that! i am a smoker and would never defend it, lol. but i guess payday loans are kind of the same way.. people defend them because they are not ready to kick the habit or because they are making too much money off of them. it is sad actually
