google your state (PA) director of finance website and it should show the payday loan companies licensed in your state...let me know if you need assistance

drillboy, go to the payday loan help forum and go into the state laws made simple link, the one for PA is there...take a look, and also it's not the director of finance you will need to go into the PA department of banking.

PA allows companies licensed in another state to lend legally to PA residents, under the laws of the state they are licensed in.

What this means is that if Cash Supply is licensed in any state, they are legal to lend in PA.

Cash Net USA is legal also, and using their Nevada license to lend to PA consumers.

Cash Transfer Centers is not legally licensed in any state in the US.

drillboy, if the pdls you are finding out are legal, then you have to abide by the state pdl law of which the pdl is operating from. So, in other words, you most likely have not "overpaid" according to the pdl law of the state the pdl is out of. If they were NOT licensed anywhere and you paid more than the principle, then yes, you did overpay. However, in the case of these that goudah has found to be licensed, you go by the pdl law where the pdl is licensed. And it'll probably not be pretty.

Cash supply wants to settle with me for $178.00. My loan was for $200.00 and I paid them $240.00. I don't want to take the offer.

For the Cash transfer Centers if I still owe them money and they are illegal what are my options??

drillboy, what Cash Supply is doing is probably following the state pdl law of New Mexico. I can post the New Mexico law for you to see if they are following it and that's where they are getting their amount from. I understand you don't want to pay the other $178 since you've already paid $240, but I can bet New Mexico law allows for all kinds of rollovers/extensions/fees, etc. I'll post the law. As for Cash Transfer Centers - illegal. The only thing you can do in regards to them is be sure they do not have access to your bank account, send them a letter revoking any wage assignment you have signed and give a copy of it to your HR/payroll person so they have the revoke letter on file. Because Cash Transfer Center will send a wage assignment to your employer once they can not get the money from you. Your employer does NOT have to honor that wage assignment. Hang on and I'm going to post New Mexico state pdl law in regards to Cash Supply for you.
