I know many of us have had some interesting phone calls from collections. I just had one and I thought of a good line, something I should have wittily replied....
When I told the rep I sent a letter reguarding the matter, he replied "How could you have, we don't have a mailing address." What I said was "You are a business, you should have one, that is kind of dumb."
What I should have said was, "Are you willingly working for a company that doesn't have a mailing address. You were never concerned about that fact when you signed on? That is kind of fishy..."
I know it isn't a gut buster... But I know a few people on here have had some good comebacks, I'd like to hear them. If you thought of something after the fact like me, I'd like to hear it too!

The only good one I can think of is when I spoke with a collection agency regarding my pdl, they verbally went through the whole I am informing you this call is bing monitored or recoreded....when she was done I said ok I understand and I want to make sure you are aware that I am recording this call to be used as documentation and/or evidence in the event I decide to file suit against your company for violating the FDCPA. Ahd she stuttered and eventually agreed.
