HR 5126, the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2006 has passed the house and is currently making its way through the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Please see the text of the bill at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/.../~c109pUy1d7::

Please call your senator and urge them to support this legislation to curb the deception being carried out by Bill Collectors and Telemarketers. If you do not know who your federal lawmakers are, please go to http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/ and enter your zip code in the left column under "Write Your Officials" then clink on the "info" link under each lawmakers name.
