If I read right, if you claim the refund on the 2006 refund, you have to claim it as income on the 2007 tax filing. Am I correct?

I haven't read through it yet...but I think you would probably have to fill out some seperate forms and file them along with your 2006 return, which, yes, you file in 2007.

It was either on page 12 or 13 I think. We can get the amount included in the 2006 refund. But the IRS turns around and gets a portion of it back on the taxes we file for 2007.

oh really? let me look again...

yeah, it does say that...but it probably wouldn't be a huge amount...it says it's the "intereset" I don't know what that means, so I'm going to wait and ask the person who does my taxes to find out for sure...thanks
