|
|
Okay, I weighed in Monday. I didn't exercise Monday but did on Tuesday. I have followed my diet except for a few cookies on Monday.
I have been following my budget. I have also been tracking where my money is spent. I haven't gotten paid yet but plan to put $50 into savings when I do.
Anyone else?

Good going dbaker!! Just remember to do it one day at a time - or one hour - sometimes one minute! The weight will come off - you are getting yor finances straghtened out you can do the weight thing too. Sometimes I think that the pounds melt away faster than the debt does. As for my resolution - I have my new account and when I opened it I opened a small savings account - even if I put $5.00 a pay into the savings I will be a happy camper. It is only about 250.00 a year, but it is more than I have now and that is at the minimun of 5.00 a pay.

Fins, you're allowed. You had a bad day. Besides, you have all year to work on it!
Jessi, as long as they couldn't see the finger, it doesn't count, so you're okay.
Irish:
If you save the $5 instead of spending it, that makes $250 more at the end of the year instead of $250 less, which could come in handy for some unexpected circumstances. Good for you!

Nat, for breakfast I alternate between oatmeal with sugar substitute (or fruit), skim milk or tea (I'm eliminating coffee from my diet) and a slice of whole wheat or rye toast (I prefer rye). I usually spray it with margarine spray or fat-free margarine (I think it's by healthy choice. It's in a bottle) and an omelette using egg beaters, fat free cheddar cheese and whatever vegetables you want and can also add bacon bits (the low-fat kind). Lunch is either a salad, egg drop soup (using low-sodium bullion and egg beaters) or tuna fish salad sandwich using fat-free mayo with pickle relish. Dinner is baked/broiled chicken and a baked potato and salad with diet caffeine-free pop. I also have meat-free dishes including "beef stew" with everything but the beef, bean burritoes using fat-free refried beans (made by taco bell found in the grocery store) with salsa, fat-free cheddar cheese and fat-free sour cream, baked potatoes with fat-free margarine and fat-free sour cream, fat-free cheddar cheese, broccoli and bacon bits (most of them are low in fat), chili without meat, which can be combined with rice and/or fat-free cheddar cheese.
Did you weigh in yet? I did Monday and will once a week. I'm going to be checking in every Monday and hope you do the same!
I don't get paid until the 10th but will be putting $50 into savings then, too.
Good luck!

Pink Lady,
Welcome to the debt/weight busters club! I get paid on the 10th and 25th of every month and will be putting $50 per pay into savings as well as exercising and dieting to lose weight. When are you starting your diet? I'm going to be weighing in and reporting here on Mondays. Welcome to the club - good luck!

I've been pretty good this week. I've been eating salad every day for lunch (since I went back to work Tuesday and we have a salad bar every day), and if I eat anything else, it's very small portions. I've stayed away from sweets and sugar. The regular coffee changeover has yet to occur. I'm not doing so great the last two days on exercise, but I plan to change that tomorrow morning. Also planning to do a larger salad at lunch to prevent me eating the other yummies they offer. (We have a full buffet every day with alternating days - soup/sandwich/salad bar & desserts one day, big meal the next - like lasagna! ugh!)

My sister whom I love, but is grossly obese started a diet on 12/02/06 and with her docs suggestion, started eating dinneer at breakfast a normal lunch and breakfast for dinner. She has dropped 30 pounds in the past month. The doc said that this will help change her eating habits. she used to work nights at a hospital, so she was eating all night long. we can really se the difference in her.
