What is the divorce rate in US? Is debt a responsible factor for divorce? What are the major factors for an increasing divorce rate?

Money was an issue in my marrige. I was the only one working and paying the bills for 5 years. Three kids later I figured I needed to get rid of some dead weight ... and I'm not talking about weight around my waist.
