While going through all My Posts in DebtCC forums, I got emotional to see my first post here:

Why don’t we all share our first day’s experience in this thread? What took you to this board, who responded to you first? What was the reason that you decided to stay here?

Here I start:

I came here while searching info on Student Loan and then got stuck. Bryan responded to me first...miss you Bryan, where are you these days Sad

(Different username - Damn, I can't remember that login).

What I find amazing (and I break my arm a bit patting myself on the back) is that I remember finding that thread in a Google search. I think it was page 9 or 10 on Google, so you figure over 300 other more popular responses when you search "kupferstein". Now, that thread is numero uno on Google. And man - that thread lived a long time.

I was so thankful for the info I found and saving my family's butt from getting ripped off by that company. I stayed cuz I felt I owed whatever knowledge I have gained to other people.

I like several people found this sight after doing a search on the famous Prelitigation after the harrassing phone call. I was so nervous I couldn't even finish my lunch.

This was my first post, and it's kind of cool to go back and read it and to see how far I have come and how much I have learned from this website. I don't know what I would have done had I not found this site.

My experience is similar. Though I was not harassed by any creditor or a debt collector, but I was looking for some help on my debts. I found out debt consolidation to be a good choice for me. Browsing through this website, I got stuck when I found loads of information and a caring community.

It's a nice feeling that we all gathered here for help and now, we are in a position to return back something to help others.
