I am going to be sooo busy the next few days...I will not be around here much, because any spare moment I get I will be sleeping.
I started Travel Services training at my job yesterday from noon to 4 p.m. Since I've only worked sales, they are having me and the other sales agent that is transferring to TS do a crash course of Customer Care in the next 4 days. Normally it takes 2 weeks to get through CC training...We're doing it in 4 days.
Then starting Monday I will start 4.5 weeks of Travel Services training. It takes 4.5 weeks because I have to learn how to use Worldspan, Sabre, and G2, which are the airlines booking systems. There are certain ones that use certain booking systems. Because it would be just TOO EASY if they all used the same one. And it would be too easy if they were all just point and click. Noooooooo. They look something like 0w53u42093480932 would mean Delta(Not an actual code, but you get the point) Basically my job will be to process schedule changes for customers in the even that an airline cancels a flight, or reschedules a flight. Also, in case a customer for whatever reason requests to change a flight.
This would be just fine...Except I'm also working my regular 4-midnight shift after training the next 3 days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. So this will make 3 16 hour days.
I will get paid overtime....And that will make this week alone 30 hours of overtime..Which will equal over 1 weeks additional pay. So that's like 2 weeks in one. It will be worth it when I get my paycheck.
Cross your fingers for me that I don't lose my mind!
I also turned my resume in for an open supervisor position...Which if they call me in to interview, it will look very good for me that I'm covering the overtime that they're offering AND doing TS training....But I'm not sure if or when they're going to call me to interview.
I will miss all of you, since i will be in and out the next few days!

Jessi,
I know that you can do it It sounds like this will be a great change for you. The time will fly by, trust me. Just don't carried too carried away with the overtime. I did that a lot this past summer. The paychecks are nice but it does take it's toll on you physically and emotionally. Good luck!

Jessi, take care of your health, too. Whenever you change schedules, drink enough water and eat something in the middle. You need a healthy body to have a healthy mind. Don't stress. All the Best!

Good Luck Jessi! Hope you don't lose your mind (or fall asleep at your desk...), and I hope they do call you in for that supervisor position. What a good way to start off the new year.
Here's some coffee to keep you awake...

I didn't work too much overtime today, I'm too tired...Plus the calls weren't coming in very fast, and if they're not one after another, I get antsy. So I'm taking the night off...But going to work till midnight tomorrow night, and go in for a bit on Saturday.
Plus I got my pay increase which was MORE than anticipated...And it apparently kicked in on Tuesday since I started TS training. So that makes me happy.
The Sup. job, I'm not stressing over....The QA person is a lot more qualified than me....But no one really likes her apparently..I don't even know who it is....So that's a benefit to me I guess. I don't care one way or the other...Just the TS training alone gives me more opportunities in the future--I will be able to work at any airline since i'll know their booking systems....
Anyways--Thanks for the positiveness!
