The criminal injustice system in this country is as corrupt as our government. Nobody is looking out for us.

Tammy, I am so glad to hear she is doing better. I will keep her and her family in my prayers. Our state has the device like Steelers was talking about. It not only costs to have it installed, they have to pay every month a fee, and then pay to have it taken off. I know some people who have gotten one DUI and gotten the book thrown at them, and I know of one guy that has had at least 10 DUIs and is still driving, without a license mind you-no the justice system doesn't potect the victims..KAren

Update for today. As of the 5pm visit her temp had risen to 102 and her oxygen level had dropped to 45%. The ventilator is doing most of the work right now. I would love to get my hands on the guy that did this to her!!

Tammy, I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. The temp and drop in the oxygen level could mean an infection somewhere (that's what it meant when my son was in the ICU). If it is an infection and they give her IV antibiotics, it usually works pretty fast. I'll keep her in my prayers. Thanks for keeping us updated.

She was given antibiotics when the fever started up again and for some reason, it keep rising. They are doing lab work on her to see if they can find where the infection is.

It just really makes me sick to my stomach with the laws and DUI offenders. It's always the innocent one that comes out the worst. Tammy, not to be too nosy, but I bet the other driver wasn't even hurt at all was he?

I am so sorry to hear about this. I will direct my energies to her renewal as well.

I had a friend who came down with hepatitis and ended up in a coma for about 2 weeks. Another friend of her's submitted a request for healing in a forum called quantumtouch.groupee.net. Psychic healers went to the forum and started working on healing energies for my friend. Long story short, she came out of her coma and is now home taking care of her beautiful daughter. I don't know if you believe in this type of stuff or not, but in situations like this, who are we to doubt?

Today, the doctor came in and told the family that he wished he could say Cassie was going to be okay, but with the current progress he just couldn't. Her lungs are getting worse, and she has infection and they can't find where it is at. They gave her two more units of blood today, and this evening they are going to do somemore blood cultures.

Please keep praying for her. As of now things aren't looking to be in her favor.

This makes me sick! Such a young and promising life should never be in this type of situation. Will there be a lawsuit by the family -- I will gladly donate towards such.

Tammy - sounds like shes losing blood somewhere internally that they're not finding, if they're giving her blood. And the infection doesn't sound good either.

I will continue praying for her...please continue to keep us posted.
