Is there a rash of hair cutting going on? I got mine cut kinda short this weekend too!

Must be spring fever. Everyone wants a new do!

Jess, I got my hair cut a little over 2 weeks ago..I love it!!
They cut 6 inches off, it still comes to my armpits in the back, though. It's really cute and layered. I'll have to send a pic.

Mine is above my shoulders....quite far...lol And layered...It's cute...Shorter than I planned, but I like it..

The guy who cuts it, cut it my normal way...and then said.."How about we do something a little different..." I said, "Okie Dokie" and we did!

Mine is just about 1.5" above shoulder length, and since I have the remainder of a perm in my hair, it does that neat thing where it kind of curls and looks touseled, so I don't have to do much with it.

I'm actually thinking of going for broke and going short.. I want the wedge/angeled thing, but my hair is not straight, and it may be way too thick for that kind of thing..Anyway, I said I would not have short hair until I turn 40!

Who here has gray hair? I got brave and let my true hair color come through, just to see if I would get that really pretty shade of gray (the kind that is actually white)? I have a friend whose hair is that color, and I just love it. Anyway, no such luck. Mine is the wiry, dirty-looking gray, so guess I'll be going back to coloring. Does anybody know why some people get the white-gray and others get the other kind? Maybe it's just in the genes.

Thankfully I have no gray yet. It's odd, because my Mom started touching up her gray by the time she was in her mid-twenties.

What gets me is the wrinkles! I spend a fortune in creams and sruff, and I'm still starting to get crow's feet. My gosh, I'm only 33, why is this happening to me?

I don't really have the wrinkles yet (and I'm 49 and holding), and I shouldn't have the gray hair. I mean my mom died at 63 with the number of gray hairs you can count on one hand. I guess I get it from my dad. He was completely gray by the time he was 30. Not fair!

Finsfan, I've wanted a short cut for a long time. But I have gone to different stylist who REFUSE to cut it short or even jud above my shoulders, they tell me I will regret it, but I say it will grow back. Maybe they sense my aprehension when I request a shorter style.

Steelers - maybe one day you'll find a stylist who will go for broke and cut it the way you want - like you say, it will grow back! I cut mine VERY short once, and regretted it, but my hair grows fast, so I only had to hate it for about a month.

dbaker - I have gray in the front, in my bangs. It started during 2001 and hasn't stopped since. Coincidentally, the same year my husband left for someone he worked with, I had three major surgeries, and the year of 9/11. (He left between surgeries 2 & 3, and his leaving, my 31st birthday and 9/11 all occurred within 3 days of each other.) Think stress might have had something to do with it? Nahhhhhh.

Maybe stress does play a part in it. But why should I be stressed? The fact that I have 3 teenage boys at home wouldn't do it, would it?!

Nope, probably not! LOL

It's just funny, though, to see how that stuff affects our HAIR....of all things!

that and high heels and pantyhose. I think any man who thinks women look sexy in those should be made to wear them for an 8-hr workday.
