A great day for the Cajun!

Very Happy My wife came to visit me and brought me a present in the mail. I applied for American Express,Discover,Chase,
and Citibank. Have been approved instantly on all except
Citi. She brought my American Express card to me.I went online to activate it and doubled credit line to 10K at activation. I was also happy to see her and the kids. Been up here in North east Texas for three weeks now with no real end in site yet. Gotta love that neverending job security. Sometimes I get a little too much job security=More work than time to actually do it.

Oh well, can't complain too loudly. They pay me well and my family benefits from it so I will continue trucking along even though I get homesick sometimes. Wink

fedupinpa,
I closed all my credit cards about 3 years ago because of them trying to play the apr games. Only problem was they tried it on a couple with excellant credit.I have positive since 1991.My wife since 1989.My plan is keep one in pocket, the other three get the sock drawer.Rotate them out every other month to keep them active. I needed to add some revolving accounts to trim up my ficos so we can take next step in building a home. I post on the board here to help people. My credit is perfect and I want to share what I have learned through the years. I do appreciate the warning though cause I have racked up cc debt before!
Very Happy

cajun,

That's a lot of cards but it sounds like you have a game plan. I'm still digging myself out of debt but I am learning as I go along. I remember when I had perfect credit. I'm glad that you had time to visit with your family Smile I'm sure that was the biggest treat of all.

Cajun, Congratulations on the cards, and I know what you mean about job security. That counts for a lot. I've been at mine for about 20 years. Glad, though, that you have a chance to spend time with your family. Enjoy your time with them.

Congrats Cajun! Glad you got to spend time with your family - that's SO important when you have to spend so much time away from home.
