Has anyone ever ordered bank checks from other companies besides your bank? Just wonder if these companies are legit. I was looking at an advertisement for Bradford Exchange and they had some checks that I like. I'm very cautious with giving out banking info since I've been dealing with the pdls.

I have for a couple of different accounts that I had. I cannot remember who the company was but they were good. I think I saw the same advertisement they are sooo cool. I am thinking about ordering some myself. I usually check out their website before I order from anyone.

I ordered some from citm.com (Checks In The Mail) and the were great. Never a problem and A LOT cheaper than ordering them from the bank.

I've ordered from the a company that advertises in the bulk coupon mail (or in the Sunday paper...I don't remember the ultimate source). No problems, and a lot cheaper than the bank.

I order all my checks from vendors other than the bank, do a search online, they have alot of promotions going on, alot of competition out there and they tend to try and keep up with each other. I have used classic and artistic. Just google check printers and they all will come up. Just make sure they have the verisign insignia on their page for security of your banking information.

I used to get free checks from my bank until my last order. I don't know what changed on my checking account but they would not give me a refund. It was almost $23 for one box of checks. I have ordered from those places in the past with no problems. Plus, they have cuter checks.

I always order my checks from on line - I like Currents b/c sometimes you can really hit a deal with dicontinued checks. I have never had a problem and I find that they are cheeper than the bank and I can get them faster.

I've always ordered from sources other than the bank. Why pay $20+ for a single box of checks when you can get two boxes for that price, or even less sometimes? And the variety of designs is better. I've never had a problem with them not working with any bank I've used.

I recommend doing it. Beleive it or not some of the check printing companies are owned by the same company that owns chexsystems. This means that if you order checks from them, and they see that you are on chexsystems, they can call the bank and let them knwo what a terrible customer you are. It's totally wrong but has happened to people.

I never knew that Goudah. So did the check printing company still print the checks even though the customer was on Chexsystems? Did the bank close the account?
