All right,
I have to say that the last 7-10 days have been very rough on me with the personal attacks and negative trend that this board is turning to. I came here to help anyone I could using prior knowledge or research. I do not have the problems most of our community have. I have been accused of exceeding my authority and of having a holier than thou attitude. I do not feel that my authority as a mod was abused in any way.The only time I get real negative and mean is when members or the board is under attack. For those that accuse me of trying to upstart or outsmart you,I have done nothing of the sort.Almost every post I do is backed up with individual research. I am willing to find the direction and hold someones hand when they need it.I probably would have more posts than I do now,but I try to limit my posting to what I know either personally or the name of someone on the board who does know the answer. I will be taking a break for a few days because I just realized today that all the drama on here has stressed me more than I should have let it. I will check in in a few days and see how the community is doing.See you until then.

Not all of us feel that way! I truely apreciate all the advice you have give to me either directly through one of my threads or through another thread that I have read and I do not think that you have abused any power or displayed a holier than thou attitude....

I agree with Leah, you have helped me a lot since I started here almost two weeks ago. I really appreciate everything that you do. Even if you aren't experiencing what we are personally, you do the best you can to be there for us and not point fingers, you stand by our side and cheer everyone on. That shows a lot about you. I think taking a break is a good idea though, you have no reason to get stressed out because of things that have been said on this board. Go enjoy a few days to yourself, and with your family. Think about all the lives you have touched by helping those who come to the board looking for answers. Enjoy your vacation, you will be missed! Smile

And I am in total agreement with Leah. Unfortunately, some people let egos get the best of them, and forget what this board is really about: helping people deal with debts, BK, collectors, etc...You are a great resource for this board.

You can take a break, but get your buns back here, we need you. I know that it takes alot to do the research and come back on try to get that advice to the people who need it. You do a great job, You sure have helped me out and I appreciate it. So you go ahead and take your break and then get your buns back here. You ole rajun cajun!

Make sure you come back. And if anyone does not like what you have to say, well, I won't say it because it would only add to the negative.

Cajun, you give good advice. If someone is trying to run you off, stick around, maybe they will leave. And if they don't, who cares. Your direct way of dealing with things is very much needed by those coming here.

As one "holier than thou" mod to another...please come back when you feel better about things. I've been accused of the same things, cajun - being holier than thou, being on a high horse, etc. All by unidentified guests who hide behind their anonymity. I've taken short breaks and come back, and I'm sure it will happen again in the future.

I think you're a good resource for folks here, and have provided much help. We need you here.

Cajun...don't go away! I am relatively new to the board and you have made me feel so welcome!

Personally I dont feel that anyone should be able to post without registering first. Allowing trolls to post with some registration just encourages more trolls to tromp in.

I do not believe that you have a "holier than thou" attitude. I think as mods, we get accused of that. I can understand taking a break though. Last week was great for me. I have studying to do today so I won't be on here long. You have really helped me in the debt collection forums. I've learned a lot from you Smile

I personally think you are a wonderful part of this community and you shouldnt let people get you down...I havent heard anything negative about you personally. Don't go away........They win then....WE NEED YOU!
