Just posting my intro...couldn't figure out where else to put it.
My name is Sharon, I'm 25, Married, mother of one. I got wrapped up in debt over the past few months as my husband has been unemployed. I'm stressed to the max about it. Can't wait for it all to be over with. I want to thank everyone for their valuable input.

No problem! It's always nice to know you're not alone. Being in debt can be very stressful, and then you add in the calls from the collectors. That just makes it worse. It helps a lot to know what your rights are. Some of these collection agencies rely on you NOT knowing your rights, so the more you know, the more you can save, potentially. Of course, you should always pay back what you owe, just don't get taken in by them saying you owe more than you really do. And document everything!

Hi Sharon, welcome on the board. Please don't be stressed just because of your debts. You are ready to take care of your debts; it won't take long to come out of it. There are few DMP programs through which you can pay everything as per your convenience. Talk to a debt consultant and he will be able to work out an easy repayment plan with your creditors.

I talked to a debt consultant today. I'm going to chat things over with my huband before I say yes! It doesnt seem like it will end up being a scam.

welcome sharon, i've only been a member for a couple of days now and i'm happy i joined it's a great way to release stress and get good advise from others who have been in your same situation and learn when creditors are just trying to scare you so enjoy.
