Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 136,000 members

I spent three months reading threads no this forum before I joined. After seeing the valuable information on this forum, I decided to sign up and seek advice. I am grateful that I did. I have been on this site for nearly a month and what I once thought was a bunch of closely nit people who had come to rely on one another in times of need has slowely changed. All of a sudden people are attacking one another and the people that helped me the most are leaving the forum and it makes me sad. I just wanted to say to those who have felt frustrated or feel as though they have been attacked: I appreciate all that you did to help me and I am sorry to see you go...

Leah- I am glad you joined us! There are still alot of closely knit people here-trying to help others. I am glad you were able to have found help here, and hopefully things will take a turn for the better!!..KAren Very Happy

I understand your point. We as a boardwill have to pull together to keep unity on the board. I really do not want to see these mods leave.They all have immense knowledge that we would be hard pressed to duplicate. I really hope we can get all this drama squared away.

I agree-why let a few bad apples spoil the bunch?? I was a nervous wreck before I came here..Do you know how stressful it is to be pregnant, all your money being eaten up by PDL's and not know what to do or who to turn to? I was certain the only way I was going to be able to do the right thing was to give my baby up for adoption....

This forum has given a lot of people hope and guidance. There is loads of valuable information on here and a lot of us have worked hard to get this information out.

I realized in taking my day off that some posters are doing all this neg mess just to tear our board apart and it seems they maybe winning at this time.We don't want to lose anyone.These people that may be leaving are very kind and giving on this board. I have read their posts and seen how far they are willing to go to help someone. It is downright criminal to push someone of that stature off this board. I have only been here three months and I have seen the attacks increase ever since we went back to guest posting. Now some of this negativity I have seen it happen on members too. This is not something to pick sides on. Karen has a good point that my stubborn butt is still trying to learn.If it is a negative post,ignore it and they will leave you alone.

I think everyone, members and guests included, should look at their role in the downfall of this board. Some memebers need to realize that it is not only the guests fault. I truly think that some people don't think they have any responsibility in what is happening. What has happened here to make the long time members want to leave? Lets be honest and search within ourselves and find out.

I don't know what would have happened to me if I hadn't found this board. I second everything Leah said. I think we are all here with a common purpose, to become debt free or more secure. I hate to see people leave, and hate to see arguing.

You are a valuable asset to this forum. I do not understand why there have been so many personal attacks on guests lately. Before I joined, I was a guest for awhile. I was trying to find the answers and I found some great friends as well.

I think ( I know I am ) many guest are hiding because if they post as the member they are attacked.. not all the guest but a lot of them..
I can tell by the post not everyone wants to be attacked for having a opinion..

Well I am very new as you all know. And really am not aware of who all is thinking of leaving. However, I too sometimes have felt that even though correct answers may have been given by poeple...sometimes it was done in a very cold callous I don't care...you read the papers and signed them so there...you screwed up. I won't mention names. I can only say that when I came here the first day...I ws desperate and in tears. And, for the most part everyone has been wonderful. But, I too mostly keep my mouth shut on 1 particular board.....because If I voice my opinion I too feel as if I am attacked. If not for Cajun, Mike,Steelers,Sassy, and most of the mods....I probably would have left.

But I love it here and really hope that we can all make it through the changes. Afterall, possibly this group has come under attack because it has had success in teaching us how to deal with poeple that would rather we not have that information.

Also this week has been very stressful..maybe too because of all of the changes. Just like birth...growth always causes pain...but if you endure...you have a joyous gift.

For the most part...other than a few times...I have felt very good here.
