Now that I have everyone's attention..... Smile

I think too much is happening too fast here. In that, I think we are letting all this affect us personally. It was once said "Never argue with a stupid person. The will just drag you down and kick your ass with experience." I see that around here. We are allowing a very small percentage of strangers to dictate who we are and what we think of ourselves. I thinks fins (or Tammy or Steelers or one of you chickies) said on another thread "we are all adults". That we are. So let's not allow all these childish activities to change us or make us run.

We are all here of our own free will. We do not pull a regular paycheck. We were not hired. We all volunteer. We don't have to respond to people that speak viciously towards another. In fact, we don't even have to read it, and a few of us can be sure others don't read it as well. You don't have to read a PM. Check box and delete. You don't have to let guests contact you in any fashion. What gets to you is only what you ALLOW to get to you. Do not give them power over you.

I propose we get back on task. Let's provide the assistance we have in the past and NOT allow us to be pulled apart and destroyed. And if you are going to come here and make a personal attack on anyone, expect to be censored. This site receives no government money, so freedom of speech is not required. If you want to be an @sshole, so somewhere else. It is always the few that ruin it for everyone else. I plan on stopping those few every chance I get.

HERE HERE!! I agree whole heartedly with you Jeff. Any one coming on this forum at this time would back away real fast thinking that no one here knows their @ss from a hole in the ground with allof the garbage going on. I have received so much kindness and an extreme amount of help and support here - I want to give it back, but with out the members who have helped me I will have a great deal of difficulty getting things right.

Jedijeff,you bring up some very good points. I opted out on my guest option on quick messages.Didn't like the hatemail I was receiving. We need to stand tall and pull together not apart. I think it is a few people that do not like what this board does and they are winning if we start leaving.

i read everything here and i understand very well
now.people are send bad pm for the members of this forum that only want help people that needs help in this forum.
if i do anything wrong against these forum please tell me or delete any posts that i write in this forum.
i love the members of this forum because they always help people in this forum and i think they are doing
a lot more for people than government is doing.
this site is the last hope for consumers abused
and the only people we have to help us IS THE MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM.

Jeff, I think you made some very relevant points in your post. Many of us have been personally attacked by guests in an attempt to make us leave or stop posting, or whatever their intent is. The best defense against that is to kill them with kindness, and move on to helping the next person in line that requests help with debt/credit issues. Make your response to them without going on the attack and then drop it. They're like a playground bully - if you don't respond, they don't have any fuel for their fire, and they fizzle out. It's no fun to attack someone who doesn't fight back in the way they want. (And by "fighting back", I mean going back at them in anger and frustration, rather than responding calmly and then dropping the subject.)
