I know that I'm not a registered member here but I have been reading the forums for a long time. I noticed yesterday that there were some disturbances (for lack of better word) in the main forum yesterday. I do not understand what direction this forum is heading but I hate to see members squabbling. I also hate to see the "older" members like KYSIDE, MISHELE, STEELERS, TAMMY,FINS, IRISH, being corrected all of the time. I learned a lot from these gals and they helped me get out of my own payday loan mess. This was just by their postings. They treated me with respect even though I posted as a guest. I hate to see them being told in a public way that they don't know what they are talking about. I know that they do because each of them helped me in their own way, without expecting anything in return. My opinion is this, that some members need to stop wanting to take control of the whole board. These gals and many others know what they are talking about. There used to be a common goal here and everyone was very friendly. Now it seems like you get jumped for just posting your opinion or your own experience. This is truly sad!

Good post 8675309. I was helped out of my PDL hell by the people on this web site over a year and a half ago. I surely could NOT have done it without them. Occasionally, I come back just to browse and see whats up here, and I am saddened by what I see. I am grateful that the goings on that occur here now were not here when I desperately needed help. This was a life saver for me. I feel if I came here to this website now, I would not have had the same experience.

I am a long time lurker here as well and I read the so called disturbance from yesterday. Did you notice who STARTED this said disturbance? It was a MODERATOR. goudah2424, sassnlucy, and this other moderator were all helping someone out and this MODERATOR just started going off! There was no reason for this personal attack on goudah2424 or sassnlucy. I was actually being helped by the advice that was being given and I do not know why that moderator began attacking them. Neither one of them seemed interested in squabbling or confrontational but were just trying to help this new member and this is the thanks they get for it. I saw nowhere anyone being corrected like you are saying. All I saw was people trying to help others. As a longtime member of several other debt forums, I know that everyone has different experiences and everyone is entitled to share those experiences and their views/opinions without being verbally attacked. I have been watching this forum for a long time and it seems like these "older" members want to do everything they can to run off the newer people and cannot take anyone not bowing down to them. If these people have all the answers then maybe this forum should be changed and the only people to answer posts could be these older people, you can get rid of everyone else and then they can be happy because they wouldnt have any "competition" to worry about. And why does this have to be a competition? It seems like these older people have tried to turn this forum into a pissing match and what good is that doing? And guest, where was anyone in that thread told in a public way that they don't know what they are talking about? I didnt get that from the thread. These "gals" may have treated you with respect as a guest but it looks like they treat everyone else like $hit. And I would also question their sincerity, too. I think some people are only out to help themselves and do not really care about others. My opinion is this: stop trying to rule this board! Give other people a chance because there are many others here who know a great deal and are very kind and helpful like goudah2424, Leah, and sassnlucy, and they have something to offer as well. I think you are making an incorrect statement that people are trying to take over the board. The only people that are trying to take it over are these older people that think they own it. Old people-step back and take a look at yourselves. Are you setting a good example by the way you treat people? Do you act like this in real life? Because I have never seen a bunch of nastier people. Are we all working towards a common goal? Or are we just trying to post all over the boards so we can build up points? Do you think that people cant see what you are up to? If so, think again because if i can, i am sure that others can too. To the owners of this site: you are going to lose a lot more good people if you keep letting this kind of stuff go on.

I have to agree with the above post regarding the disturbance yesterday. Unless there were some comments made privately, I also never saw anything in the posts that should have warrented such a reaction from the moderator. Very sad. For everyone.

To the guest I will answer your post. I have never treated anybody like crap on this forum. I try to give the best advice that I can. Advice that I ask questions about from legal advisors before I even post. I do not have a problem with new people. I do not have a problem with old people. I am not on here to rack up points. There are memebers who stay on here all day. This is something I do in my spare time. I dont care anymore who likes it or not. The old people here are not going to step back why should we? I dont think we have did anything wrong? KYSIDE38

Are you kidding me? If it wasn't for these people, I'd still be sitting in a friggin corner cowering from these pdl's! They are an inspiration to me and I lean on them every single day for help! If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't know a damn thing and still be stupid and not standing up for myself! I thank God every single day for these girls! I swear to you, you have all saved my life! You took me out of the dark corner and made me see the light. And to you, I will forever be grateful. I have never had so much support in my life. Thank you to all of you and I think you're all awesome.

Steelers - you go! I'm cracking up! Point whore! LOL! I love it! You've helped me greatly. Everyone has. And I really agree with you. I don't think you or anyone else has a phony bone in their body. Everyone has an opinion and everyone has helpful advice. Hell, I'll take any advice I can get. So, whiners, don't whine. Take the advice of these people. They've been there, they know the stories, they know the crap, they know the answers.
