Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 129,000 members

Hi Everyone,
Tomorrow, my husband is going to be tested for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). As you can imagine, I am not doing very well right now. Thankfully, we have great insurance and if the worst is true and it is ALS, we do have alot of options.
If I could tell the community one thing after all of this, it would be this: we need to DEMAND universal health care in this country. It should not be a luxury, but a basic right to all Americans, rich and poor.
As medical bills are one reason that people go into debt in this country, this needs to be made a priority.
Coming to this site has been a real blessing for me and I hope to continue with you all--so keep the faith for us tomorrow, OK?

Thanks, everyone for your support. What a tremendous group we have here!
And the update: the neurologist said that he is having spinal seizures, which can be indicative of MS along with ALS, great.... Sad

Anyway, they want to do a MRI of his brain, which he's thrilled about, not! He is also going to sign an advance directive, if I have anything to say about it...I'll keep you posted!
