How does the point system work? I see that guests log in and ask a question and they get around 100 to 200 points. But when as a member I ask a question, I only get 20 points. What determines teh point values?

The difference is that a guest cannot do anything with their points. As a member, you can save up your points, and once you reach 1000 points (which equals $10.00), you can "cash them out" - for cash - sent by check or to your Paypal account.

Point value of each post is determined by the length of your post, and by our standings as a website in Google search rankings. The higher our ranking when people search for help with debt/credit/payday loan issues, the higher our point value per post is. The highest is 20 points per post, though.

Though it doesn't sound like much, just check out the points payout thread - you'll see how much it builds up to over time for many people! We don't come here for the points - we come to help others in the same way we received help when we first came here with our own problems. But the points are a very nice plus.

Oh, and you don't get points for posting in the Pub, because that's our "off topic" area, where we don't usually talk about debt, credit or payday loans - it's where we let our hair down and have fun!

At first I couldn't get in after my intitial visit, using my password. So I created another account. Then I couldn't get in with that one either. So I created another one. I have accounts under 3 different e-mails. Can I have those points consolidated to my sbillingsley90 account? The other two accounts I can send to you if you say you can consolidate them. I have sent several emails on this, but I haven't gotten ar esponse yet. I konw we don't come for the points, but like you said every little bit helps. Thanks
