it's me Bikergirl..... From reading all these posts, it seems like we have all made some really stupid mistakes. I have read the way people have felt due to these loans and I myself have felt the same. Some of us including myself have wanted to commit suicide (makes me wonder how many people have actually done this due to these), marital problems, etc.... It sure is nice that we have found this site and there is hope for us!!! Thank you debt consolidation Care for putting this on the net.... You have saved lives and relationships!!!

Those ARE " words of encouragement". This site helps me deal with my debts 'one at a time'.....eventually, things gt taken care of.

I agree...we all know how miserable we were before we found a home here. Now we educate ourselves and others and I know without a doubt that I will not make the same mistakes again...it has helped change my life in so many ways...besides finding friends I can share so much with.

Hi all, my name is Gregory Maurer and I'm a debt collection lawyer for a firm called Wallet Recovery in NYC. I love sitting back, reading your sob stories whenever I get a chance because in my specialty there are no "rules" I must follow. For example; I assist a company down here called Erin Capital Management, which is located near me. Off and on they'll buy debts that as it turns out, aren't all that legitimate. Regardless, they pursue them because, well, they've paid for them so why not?

So what I do is to assist their firm Eltman, Eltman and Cooper to make it look as if the debt is valid so they can go to whatever county they need, get a judgment through and get the county clerks (whom a lot of will take cash bribes) to push them through. Then my final task is to hunt down the person who (doesn't) owe the money, get a writ of garnishment and force them to pay.

You see, I can sit here and say all this because while it's true, it doesn't matter because no one can lay anything on me or anyone I collect for. The paperwork would be miles high and it would take forever to drag through the court system, so for those of you who are complaining about debt validation, don't. It doesn't matter because we don't have to and will not validate anything.

I approved this post, only so that others can see what depths debt collectors and collection agencies will go to. I deleted the personal info, after I had written it down, in case Gregory decides to berate our members.

No matter what he says, there are laws that protect consumers, and even if it is true they "pay" others off, they still have to be able to prove the debt is yours. As you can read from this post- they usually can't, and have to resort to other tactics.

Keep reading the Forums and learn how others have dealt with this type of thing..Karen

Kash ~ I agree. What a jerk! Nothing like bragging about doing crooked work! With lawyers like him, no wonder the world is screwed up and the system is messes on and no one has faith in attorneys any more. Greg, so glad to hear that you are so proud of yourself for cheating people out of their hard earned money! One day you will get yours. What goes around comes around.

I warned this yahoo on another post. Is he so ignorant of the law that he believes this type of posting cannot end up in court.It is very easy for an admin to forward sys logs with posts that will nail down his location in a big hurry! Laughing

We must be getting effective here when they go to this extreme to try and soil our board.
