Ok , some of you know that I have to go on 2nd shift when I go back to work next week. So I was looking at cookbooks that had quick meals that were good. Well I found an awesome cookbook. I made one of them tonight, it was so quick and easy. Hubby was impressed, he didn't think I could cook like that lol (well if I didn't cook good he would be alot smaller ) But anyway back to the cookbook... It is a Campbell's 1-2-3 dinner cookbook. It is the best. Most of the recipes take from 5-20 min. prep time and 15-30 cook time. I made my first stir-fry today. It was sooo easy and SOOOOO good!!! It was called easy beef teriyaki it had 7 ingred. and 3 steps. So if you ever get the chance to go to a bookstore check for it and look at it. You just may end up bringing it home. It looks like a can of soup and it reminds me of a baby book cause the pages are thick cardbord and they have a nice coating on the pages so if you slop it up you can wipe them off.
I just had to share my new great find.

Hey that sounds like it would be good for my daughter - she is moving into her first apartment. Also another thought would be to check out some slow cooker recipes. I love to come home & there they are - all done. My kids' fav is a roast, throw a can of cream mush suop & package onion soup mix on top. slow cooker low for 8-10 hours & serve with mashed taters yummmmmm - I have a few other if you are interested, including a cranberry porkroast. man now I am hungry!!

Thank you!! I am very interested in quick easy meals. I will check out those websites. Those cupcakes sound so yummy. I LOVE black forest cake My very first made from scratch cheesecake was a black forest cheesecake. I took it to a family dinner and everybody didn't believe me when I told them I made it
dalfire I would love those!!!
My crock pot is something I use often. I use it alot when I make venison chops, hubby loves it when I make them that way.
I guess we are just getting sick of the usual meals that are being made. I want something different and of course something that doesn't cost a ton to make lol.
Tonight I am making Creamy Pesto Chicken & Bow Ties. From the pic. in the cookbook it looks very yummy. I will let you all know how it turns out. It says pre/cook time is 20 min. How cool is that?

I have a Campbell's cookbook too. There is this beef taco bake that is SO good. My mom has a kraft cookbook and the other night I made this Sicilian Supper Casserole out of it that was DELICIOUS! It was really easy to make too. I browned hamburger meat and onion, then added salt, pepper, and tomato paste and simmered. In a seperate pan, heat 1 block of cream cheese and some milk (I don't remember how much) and then add some garlic salt and parmesan cheese and 2 cups noodles. Then I layered all that twice in a casserole dish and baked it for 20 minutes. It was awesome!
I am not really into sweets but I love the easy dinners!!! Ang did you make the pineapple upside down cake?

Sometimes at office parties and picnics I make a taco salad that everyone loves and its very easy to make. Brown one pound of ground beef and drain the fat. Add a packet of taco seasoning, like mccormack or similar, add some kidney beans, onions if you like onions and mix in a bag of shredded cheese then add a bottle of zesty italian salad dressing, it needs to be the zesty, not regular. Mix all that together with your sald and your good to go, it delicious. You can also put the salad off to the side and mix the salad and taco mixture separately as the sald will get soggy if you leave it setting for too long.
