My daughter is going for her drivers test on Monday. She needs her license BAD. I am tired of taking her to and from work lol. So since my job put us on overtime until Christmas, she gets done with work at 9pm and I didn't get done till 10:30 so she had to sit there until 11 till I got there. Now next week we are on even more overtime so she will have to sit there till midnight. The poor girl.
Then, I have been waiting on a job opening at where hubby works since the summer. I missed the last opening by my application being filled out 4 days after the guy they hired (even though I had more experience ) But anyway, if the company accepts a certain job then some of the people have to go to 3rd shift and there will be 2 openings on 2nd shift and guess who will be one of the 2? Then I can get out of the nasty job I have now, plus get paid quite a bit more But I will be working there during the week of Christmas when my job has a plant shut down during that week So I sort of have my foot in the door.
So please keep your fingers crossed
I will update when things happen.

I also have my fingers crossed for her! A bit of advice for her, (since my son recently failed his driving part of the test) tell her to make SURE to come to a complete stop at stop signs! ha Goofy boy didn't and it's an automatic fail. Good luck to her and let us know how it goes.

Hell, I hit the curb while turning during my first driver's test. INSTANT FAIL. I was told "Okay, you can return now. You failed." Very nice!

Puddle, I'm pulling for ya! And yer daughter!!
A smidgen of advice for your daughter, if I may... I'm a CDL driver with 30 years experience. Yeah, I know all about the rules and such that are in the manual, but it pays to remember these, too.
Uncle Wulf's Three Basic Rules of Traffic
1 - Stay alert.
2 - Trust nobody.
3 - Never, ever, get in a hurry.

I been around, but I'm often not seen. Ya see, I'm sneaky. And I have court documents to prove it.

Way back in the day when my second ex and I went splits, she opened the drama by swearing out a complaint alleging that I had beat her up [I didn't]. Since it was a legal complaint with the county Sheriff, she was obliged to state the particulars, including time, date, and place. I guess she should have consulted a calendar or something, because at the time/date specified, I was 2,000 miles away on business, and had been gone for over two weeks at that time.
Well, the thing went to court shortly after I got back home. She showed up with a couple of the folks from the local femi-nazi group. I showed up with multiple witnesses, all upstanding members of the community [very small town, where everybody knew everybody else]. When the whole proceeding was done, the magistrate looked at her and said that unless she had something else to offer, he was going to dismiss the case with prejudice because she had no proof. She started in with some more BS, and he asked her why nobody but her seemed to know a thing about it. "Your Honor" she said, "he's sneaky." When the laughter died down in the courtroom, the judge threw the case out.
That went into the court record, thus my statement before. I actually paid good money to get a copy of that transcript, for my own amusement.
