Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - members

I had an idea last week and I PM'd Denny about it, he told me to go ahead and start a thread. So I had asked Cannr to help me with the idea. But now we need a little more help from all of you. When Mike came in here telling us of his father, we all supported him by telling him we would have him and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Well the idea that I had was to try and collect a small donation of points from the members and then have Denny take those points and send Flowers to Mike's father in the Hosp. and if there was any money left it was to be donated to Mike's family. Now this was going to come from the community that he cares so much about and that cares so much about him. We were going to put our well wishes on that page so that Denny could print it off and send it along with the flowers, so that Mike REALLY knew that we were thinking about him and his family while he was gone, and that he didn't have to ask for that support.

Well now is the time to show that you really DO care about Mike. All I am asking for is a Small donation. I am not asking for all of your points. They way I came up with this idea was that the company I work for sends around a donation box when an employee has surgery, an illness or a death in the family. We all put in $1.00 and sign our name on the donation paper. Then the person in charge will then take the money and either send flowers or just send the person the money with a card and the paper with all the signitures on it.

To those that have already donated, We thank you very much!!! To those who I offend by asking this way, I am sorry. It was just my way of SHOWING that I care for someone who is going through a difficult time right now. Oh and I forgot to tell you that if you would like to donate please donate your points to either Cannr or myself. Do not donate to Mike for Cannr and myself are turning in all of our points Sunday evening to Denny to get the gift.

Well said, puddle! Please everyone, show your support to our friend, Mike. And, when you do post to the thread, please put a note on there for Mike telling him your feelings. Even if it's just "I'm thinking of you" or "You are missed" or "I hope your family is well". Just something to let Mike know that he is appreciated and he and his family are in our thoughts and prayers. Please put a note on the thread for Mike. Many people have donated points to get something special for Mike. If you don't want to donate, that's okay. You can still post to the thread for Mike to read. Very Happy

CANNR AND PUDDLE I'M THINKING TO SEND TO MIKE A SMALL CHECK EITHER.
I THINK IF I SEND A MONEY ORDER OF 10,00 TO DENNY WAS GREAT.
I DO NOT ASK NOBODY TO DO IT.
IT IS JUST A IDEA.
MAYBE I ASK CANNR OR PUDDLE HIS ADDRESS OR SEND THIS MONEY TO ONE OF THEM.

I'm really so sorry, I had already cashed in most of my points a couple of weeks ago, I don't think I have many built up yet, but I would be glad to donate what I can. I know it isn't much, but it's the best I can do right now. Smile

Thats ok Shazzers I am not asking for all of your points, just whatever you would like to donate. Even if it is just 10 points, it will be put towards Mike and his family to let them know we ALL are thinking of them. So any donation is great, thank you so much Smile
