LilLinn3 | 23 Dec, 2008 07:44:35 AM I just dealt with them a few minutes ago after contacting Tmobile to assure this was in fact the company they sold my debt to and it was. I am going to pay and request a paid in full letter and hope for the best!
Sapphrose | 29 Oct, 2008 10:01:42 AM My son received a letter from Mitchell N Kay due to an outstanding debt from Wells Fargo Bank for a settlement amount of $102.72 which we thought was the bigger bill that he thought he owed to the bank. So I called the law office and they confirmed that yes he did owe and I asked again if the $102.72 was legite and the person told me that it was, I thought it was a very small amount compared to what we thought was the bigger picture. Nonetheless, I made a money order for rounded off figure of $103.00, made a copy of the letter and the money order and sent if off. To this day I still haven't heard anything of receipt of this money order and/or copy of the "bill". I ended up finding another bill from another company in regards to the same amount and asked them if the payment was received which they confirmed it had. The person asked me who I sent it to and I told them about Mitchell N Kay and they advised that law office collected for them!! How many offices or who is paying for who in this stupid circle? I'm doing further investigation into this because we got another bill from another collection agency for Wells Fargo for a much bigger amount. What was the $103 for is what I'm wondering!
sue | 17 Jun, 2008 03:37:07 PM i just recieved a letter a owe 3,402.50 for a credit card that i pd 20 years ago does anyone know about this
concerned | 28 Feb, 2008 08:47:45 AM Usually if a company ask you for money before sending you your settlement ---- They are not legite. Most attorneys deduct their fees out of the settlement and you get what is left.
Ripoff | 18 Feb, 2008 03:26:30 PM I received a letter also offering a settlement and contacted the supposed creditor myself. The creditor confirmed my information, I do not have an outstanding debt with them and this must be some kind of rip off. They told me to look this lawyer up on the internet and that's how I found your postings confirming the same stuff.
kmcd56 | 21 Jan, 2008 03:41:21 PM Don't do it! Look them up on ripoffreport.com. Or better yet, just do a Google search on Law Offices of Mitchell N. Kay and you'll know why I said that.
perki | 7 Oct, 2007 11:55:47 AM And, was this settlement offer legit? Was your "entire" debt paid off as indicated by their offer?
frustrated | 2 Oct, 2007 08:29:03 AM Yes, I have and you must get a letter first from them saying they will notify your creditors that the debt has been paid in full once they receive your check and make sure to make a copy of the check first. Take it from me. I paid and have not received any confirmation from them to show to creditors. I even had a lawyer involved, and he hasn't done anything for me at this point.

Valerie | 30 Apr, 2007 01:04:32 PM I just received a call from this agency. The guy who called was very rude. He asked to speak with my mother and when I told him that she was unavailable and asked to take a message, he threw a fit. I would not recommend dealing with a company who has this type of people working for them. Something seems fishy about an agency who has reps who call and harass people.
