Wow- that is certainly some good news. I am planning on putting it in an untouchable place ( don't want the last of my PDL lenders still deducting from my account to even touch it ) and plan on putting the money I make from the second job into a checking account seperate from the one all my bills come out of, and will hopefully be able to pay off my dastardly 78% interest loan with quickclick loans by the end of next month.

So I'll be very happy if I get it earlier than I thought. The sooner I can pay off one of those high-interest bullies, the better ^_^

Did anyone find out if you owe taxes for 2007 and are on an installment plan will you receive your rebate. The reason I am asking is that I have heard 2 different things: 1. No it will go towards what you owe. 2. Yes you will receive it. I did my taxes online(turbo tax) and at the end of my efile it stated how I wanted my rebate check sent(papercheck through the mail or direct deposit.) It gave me the amount I would get back.

I saw this article, too, Roadwarrior - thanks for posting it! I wasn't at home and couldn't open multiple windows to post the link without going back and forth between sites...what a pain! Smile

Mine was due to be direct deposited on Friday, so I'm hoping mine will be one of the Monday-Wednesday ones too!

Here's the new schedule:

DIRECT DEPOSIT

Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than:
00 through 20 May 2
21 through 75 May 9
76 through 99 May 16

Paper checks will also go out based on Social Security number. For Social Security numbers ending in 00 through 09, the paper checks will be mailed starting May 9 and will continue through May 16. A similar process will be repeated in the following weeks.

PAPER CHECK

Last two SSN digits: Payments will be mailed no later than:
00 through 09 May 16
10 through 18 May 23
19 through 25 May 30
26 through 38 June 6
39 through 51 June 13
52 through 63 June 20
64 through 75 June 27
76 through 87 July 4
88 through 99 July 11

People who file a return after April 15 will receive their economic stimulus payment, but probably about two weeks later than the schedule shows. A return must be filed by October 15 in order to receive a stimulus payment this year. See the online calculator for an estimate of the amount you will receive.

I saw an updated schedule last week that said they were going out a week early. The date for the last two of my social, 19, had a mail by date of 5/23... I haven't seen that updated.

Tweety, looks like yours will be mailed no later than May 30. So, maybe (with luck???) it might be sooner? But they are saying NO LATER than May 30.

So, technically, should we move the dates up by one week then? For example, if it says mine would be May 9th, it's actually going to be May 2nd????? Am I understanding this correctly?
