Thanks to all of you because I thought it was just me. I have tried so many times to get in touch with these people, I can't even live right for my account being so negative and its about to drive me insane, yes we have my husbands income but I'm not working 5 days a week for these people to take what I work for, yes I borrowed the money but they got more than enough from me. Looking at everyones response has got me in fired up, we got to get these dirty folks, lets keep each other up to par on what needs to be done. Thanks

Just keep after them. I finally got them to mark my account paid in full after paying over $700 on a $200 loan. It takes a long time, but it can be done.

people, once and for all, it doesn't matter where you call or who you want to contact. there is no way you can sue us. i've said it before and now i'll say it again, you owe, just pay! we have a spoken recorded contract for each and every one of you and you can't due anything about that. yes, this company is runned by a group of british chumps that frankly don't care what you do, because they think they have a solid buiness that gives them a ton of cash. besides, they are now transferring their operations to third world countries and there is no way your law's short arm can reach them there! tell you what, I'll post my contact information shortly and those of you that want to reach and agreement with me, for a fair price, I'll be going into the system and erasing your debt for you! I'll be taking wire transfers and money orders.

So inside man, if you we can't sue them, why are they starting to mark accounts as paid in full and aren't currently going after the consumers if they have a spoken recorded contract for all of them?

Hello people, I am a Route 66 agent, one of the many who call you at your jobs, at your homes to get you to pay money to this company.Honestly Ive been working with them for a Month, I hate the job and I totally understand how each and everyone of you feels, which is why I'm fixing to find another job. They claim to have ways of collecting this money by force like some of you mentioned, with wage garnishment etc. I Do know that everything they say they will do they have u agree to it verbally over the phone, I've read the Sales contract many times, and when You accept this loan they have you agree to all kinds of bullshit. What I dont know is if it really would be something to use against you, it is not my area, I'm just a "collector". they also go by london laws where it is not illegal to charge 79 dollars for a 200 loan.

now to be quite frank, if you take a 200 loan with this company, just pay 279 on your next paydate and close the account with them. dont let time pass without u dealing with it, thats when the fees they said they would charge u on each paydate accumulate, and then you have to pay 800 some dollars for a stupid 200 loan.

quite frankly he is right, u owe, you pay!
I dont belive it to be a scam honestly dont, but it sure has no consideration which is why I hate the job. my advice would be to listen carefully to what it is you are agreeing to, if possible record the conversation yourself as well to keep records of what u agreed 2, and if you dont want to pay more than 279 for your loan, dont let your paydates pass without paying route 66. or just pay 279 on your next pay date to be exempt from the loan.

Porkchop, thanks for the info. Do they tell you to threaten people with arrest, and illegal tactics such as that? Just curious. Please stick around, I'm sure many people have questions. I know I never applied for a loan with them but one night they repeatedly called me and tried to say I did,and they wanted my account to put the money in it. Well, I did not give them what they wanted, had many words with them, eventually they left me alone, I never was a cutomer of theirs and never wanted to be.

Amy445: they don't ask me to threathen people or anything like that. if somehow a representative threathens a customer would mean that there is a lack of expirience on that agent's Customer Service Skills and it is something that the company should look into and correct, if neccessary eliminate those who do so. now what they do tell me to do is to remind customers who refuse to pay their loans, about the agreement they previously had made when they applied. we remind them about the wage garnishment, we remind them of the involvment of third parties for repossesions etc. etc.

KarenB: all u would need to do is pay 279 on the following paydate after you recieve the loan. how it works? you recieve 200 dollars from Route 66 funding after previously agreeing that Route 66 Funding would debit an amount of $79 dollars from your savings or checking account on every paydate as a processing fee for the use of the loan. these fees would extend your loan untill the next paydate where you would have the option of paying an additional $79 fee and extend your loan or 279 to pay it off, off course you would have to notify route 66 prior to that particular paydate where u wish to pay the loan off. then they would make the arrangement to collect whatever is the amount you owe. if you're a customer thats always on track and no fees have be returned you would always have a balance of 279 on each paydate.

How is it paid off, you are saying that "if you're a customer that's always on track and no fees have been returned you would always have a balance of $279 on each payday", shouldn't the balance be $0 if you're on track and no fees have been returned? Why would there always be a balance of $279 if the customer is paying?

I was advised to contact my AG site and file a complaint. Send a letter using the templates letters on this site and insert your states pdl laws in them and send, fax, and email them to your pdl internet pdls. In your letter demand to have account paid in full.
