Hello, I received a call from this number on my answering machine...it was an automated, British woman's voice telling me to call and gave a reference number.....when I called back the same voice answered and did not identify the company, just that a rep would be with me shortly. I hung up and googled the number and came up with nothing. Does anyone recognize this number? I appreciate your help, have a great day! Blessings, Melissa

its all about companies trying to cut down on costs of labor. instead of sweat shops, the new trend has become outsourcing. usually, the people in different countries that do answer you call will probably not be able to answer your questions very well either. be sure to keep your cool coz i sure do feel like letting them have it now and then.

seems like the more companies try to make money, the more they aleaniate their customers.

ok thank you i called back 1 of the numbers and it was for a sweepstakes thing and thats not waht the calla bout it i cause i remember sort of it was about a loan. but i've never been outta the state of oklahoma let alone to any college in tennesee. im guessing the collectors are using fake numbers and i found the pcc number after i posted that. so should i worry abou these numbers or just blow them off and wait and see if they call again

I think you should wait for the call that is genuine. The collector must identify as per the Mini Miranda stated in the fdcpa. There is some good information here. Read this

This call keeps coming to my cell and only ringing once and it is happening at least 20 times a day, EVERY DAY! How on earth do I stop this, I keep trying to call the number directly and it is always busy.

Call your cell company and tell them that this number is harrassing you. Request that it be blocked from your number or ask for the feature that will allow you to block it yourself.

O i get it....they can call us but we can't call them.
It's probably best this line is always busy...all i would do is CUSS THEM OUT!

That same number called my sister-in-law and said it was for a loan. She ended up giving them all her personal inforamtion including social security number.
