I have the same problem, i just got a loan from gfsil they called me out of the blue saying i am approved for a loan. I never remember applying! My first payment was due thursday but at the same time some other company i never applied for tried to take $30 out of my account which cause my acct to be overdrawn and unable to pay the $80 to gfsil. I have closed my acct so this unknow place that is taking money out of my acct cant anymore, i asked my bank for there number and they gave it to me. I have been calling every day for hours and it always says that the csr are with other customers call back. I tried emailing them on their website which gives no phone number on it and all u can do is email them! What do i do! I closed my acct but i am sure they are doing this to other people and would love to have them invesitgated and take them down! And with all i have heard about gfsil i am not sure i want to give them my new acct number what do i do-should i send them $200 and be done! How do i get the address. I think i will tell them i am paying them with a mo-no account! But i need there address and number.

Good Luck with them and let us know what happens as I have had dealings with them and they wont work with Consolidation company and tell me they cant take payments sent by mail or mo so I dont know what to do either as they now say I owe them $500 for a $200 loand that I already have paid $155 on, They are ruthless on the phone and quite rude to talk to I did send them a cerified letter but they tell me they didnt get it I also filed a complaint with the FBI on them,
Let me know what you find out if anything,

The company might have done a credit check. Legally, the companies are allowed to view your file but they can't touch it unless they have something valid. I heard some companies can verify information from your employment also.

Hi, I saw your post about GFS. I too have a loan with them that just went in default on Thursday. I called them before hand and told them it was going to bounce and they said I woud just have to wait for a collection call. Well, today I received an email asking me to call them. I did so and explained to the woman my bank closed my account so how could I pay the loan off. She told me the same bs about how they did an electronic transfer into my acct and had to take it the same way. She asked if I could give her a family member or a friend's account number, I laughed! Anyway, she finally said ok, I see your account has always been good, send me a MO to this address: 1005 Terminal Way, Suite 110, Reno, NV. 89502. She said for me to fax her a copy of the money order to 877-280-2330, write my ss# on it and attention my fax and my payment to Mrs. Shaw. If you really want to send them a payment, call up & act like you had this convo with her & verify what you need to send. You never know, it may work! Good luck

Ok, hum, I was looking for their number today so that I could call them and verify that they only had to receive two more payments and they would be done. I came across your blogs and now I'm totally concerned. I took out a payday loan of $200 a few months back. They were just taking the finance fees out every two weeks for about three pay periods. Then I didn't have enough money in that account the next time and they proceeded to start tacking on fees. Over $400 by the time I called them to make other payment arrangements. Today, the are to take out another $100 (this would be $300 since I made the arrangements), I'm suppose to pay once more after this another $100 to pay off the loan, total being $400. Now I'm wondering if I should. I was a little peeved when they said I owed them over $400 because I had missed three payments (I had only missed two). I'm going to try the numbers I see listed onyour blogs and see if I can get a written statement from them in the mail, and I'm going to my bank today.

I made the fatal error of using this outfit once and I've got to tell you they are masters at covering their tracks. There is absolutely NO paper trail and it is nearly impossible to contact them. Unlike some of the other PDL outfits, GSFIL has no website where you can go to view your "account" detail at will. They DO, however, debit your account on a regular basis. BORROWER BEWARE

There seems to be an internal connection between several loan companies. I think you should send a letter to GFSIL and cancel the loan. Send their money back with a cancellation letter because their business sounds shady. Read more

These people are no more than thugs. If you can understand them to begin with. I took out a loan and have had nothing but harrassing calls at work all of the time. If I do not answer the phone and am not at my desk they leave threatening messages saying God have mercy on my soul and they hope I am at a safer site than my home or office as they will be coming for me. I have now hired an attorney since I cannot get a straight answer from anyone there and they continue to call me. We have sent out a cease and desist email through our attorney and the phone calls to my employment and threats continue. DO NOT TAKE OUT A LOAN WITH THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT COMMON LOAN SHARKS!!!!!

I hope you saved these recorded messages of the collector's threats. I would also press charges against this company and person with the authorities.
Read this article about what happened to a collector who made such threats to debtors:

Another phone number for GFS is 1-877-280-3359. I almost got a loan with them and then found this website and read what others have to say and thank goodness just in time to stop me from proceeding with this company.
