I have been horsing around with this company for a month. I have reported them to the ag in Ohio, the FTC, the DOF and the ag in Nevada. I have sent at least 2 e-mails per day and have not had a response. Today I sent anothe e-mail only this time I asked them for their mailing address as my attorney needed it to file a lawsuit on my behalf for excessive finance charges and nsf chargews to my checking account due to their ignoring my cease and desist letter, I told them to respond by e-mail as I would not take phone calls. So what did they do - leave a message on my home phone to call them in regard to my e-mail! At least now I know that they do receive and read the e-mails!

Boy, if THAT isn't in violation of fdcpa, I don't know what is! Not that these companies even attempt to follow the FDCPA, anyway.

Jenn Welcome to the forums. Go to paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending. Also get the Attorney General office involved. File those complaints. The more the better. When are these vultures going to learn they cant break ever law in the book? KYSIDE38

I recently used this company and went through a similar issue with them. I will never use them again! They claimed my bank said they had an invalid account # but when I investigated further with my bank and received print outs the error was on GFSIL'S side. So for a $200 loan I ended up paying $435. I used another loan company at the same time and did not have this experience.

I got a loan from this company last month for $200.00 and I was told that the $200.00 including a $50.00 dollar fee would be debted from my account on the next payday! When I check to see if the company had debuted the money, instead I found that they were charging me an $80.00 fee every two weeks for an extended loan that I never asked for! If I were any of you, I wouldn't do it! Do not trust this company! This company also sells your information ( account number, social etc to other loan and creditcard companies! I learned this when there was a $100.00 debut from my checking accout and when I called the lost management team, they informed me that this company had been doing this to lots of other people!

I understand what all of you are going through. Just in the last few days of checking my bank account, I realized that GFSIL had debited my account way more than what I was supposed to have paid. I added up all the withdrawns that they did and it came $758 for only a $200 loan. Plus, I have $325 worth of overdraft charges from them always charging my account. They seem to charge you at 2-4 times a month. I have been having trouble getting a hold of the company. Everytime I call the number (775) 324-8569, which is on my bank account, a message tells me to call (800) 680-2177. When I call that number, they tell me that they have no information on me at all and the company is Cash Today. I need to find out how to get my money back from them. Something needs to happen to where this company will stop doing this.

You should file a complaint with your state's Attorney General's Office. Have you tried disputing these debits with your bank to get the money back? This company is also Rt. 66. I know Cash Today is another one of their dbas. You need to block them from your account, give your bank all three of their dbas: GFSIL/GFS, Route 66, and Cash Today.

I saw the e-mail below and acted as if I had this conversation and it worked.

Hi, I saw your post about GFS. I too have a loan with them that just went in default on Thursday. I called them before hand and told them it was going to bounce and they said I woud just have to wait for a collection call. Well, today I received an email asking me to call them. I did so and explained to the woman my bank closed my account so how could I pay the loan off. She told me the same bs about how they did an electronic transfer into my acct and had to take it the same way. She asked if I could give her a family member or a friend's account number, I laughed! Anyway, she finally said ok, I see your account has always been good, send me a MO to this address: 1005 Terminal Way, Suite 110, Reno, NV. 89502. She said for me to fax her a copy of the money order to 877-280-2330, write my ss# on it and attention my fax and my payment to Mrs. Shaw. If you really want to send them a payment, call up & act like you had this convo with her & verify what you need to send. You never know, it may work! Good luck

I learned a great lesson no more internet payday loans. I took a $200.0 loan and ended up paying $555.00 in a money order to them.

Never Again!

I truly wish that I did my research before getting a loan through these loan sharks. They have been taking money out of my account since July but it stops today. I'm taking it to the news so others will not be affected by them. I wish all of you the best in handling your situations and pray that we will never have to use another payday loan again. God Bless.
