No, pdls are prohibited in NJ. But this company is located in the UK so they think they are untouchable. They have call centers in NY. If you have a loan with them and have overpaid the princpal and legal interest I would just be done with them. Just know they are going to call and harass you with all sort of HYSTERICAL threats such as fraud and arrest. Think about it, they would have to extradite you to the UK over a defaulted pdl for what, about 2-300 dollars? LAUGHABLE. If you have defaulted just be prepared for the outrageious threats.

It was all do by the phone. I had to speak my full name. I guess that is their form of signing forms. LOL Will they put it on my credit report as a jugement?

I doubt they would put in on your credit report, and if they did, you could dispute it. They would have to show proof to the reporting agency of the loan, and they don't have your signature. In the US, they have to have your signature, and the apr must be WRITTEN on the loan. See the Truth in Lending Act.
This company has no legal way to obtain a judgement against you. |

GFSIL-harassing myself and my employers
Global Financial Services International Limited is a payday loan company. They keep calling my work and threaten myself and my employers, telling us we will go to jail, lose our jobs, etc. I took out a $200.00 loan in December in which they have deducted more than the amount owed from my checking account. Now, I have had issues with my checking acount and they can't get anymore money from me. So, they continue to call relentlessly and are quite ruthless and extremely rude!
Someone please tell me how to make the calls stop! I appreciate your advice! |

They will eventually stop. And NOBODY is coming to arrest you, they are lying. They are in the UK and they aren't sending anybody to arrest you because you didn't commit a crime. They are only trying to scare you out of your money.

I am dealing with this company as well...I found that the only way to get them to leave you alone for a few days is to be nasty right back...Hate to be like that but they come up with some serious threats....the one guy told me I was gonna loose my son...Ok right...Anyway, they are completely illegal and think that they are untouchable...but I am reporting them to the OH Attorney general.

I told them that I was calling Homeland Security on them as they said they did not have to follow the rules of any state in the US and they were making threats against me. That was in the beginning of January and I have not heard from them since. I did file a complaint with Homeland Security as soon as I got off the phone with them.

I am hoping it doesn't go that far with them...but they are pretty aggressive. I know they have gotten all my emails and all my faxes and all my letters...so they are just ignoring them at this point to be jerks...How do i file a complaint with Homeland Security? I really want them to leave me alone-They have gotten over $500 from me on a $250 loan...so I don't feel like I owe them anymore money...

I went to the Homeland Security home page and they directed me to: www.ice.gov. I emailed them about gfsil in regards to Ciber Crimes. I wasn't sure if i fit this catagory, but I figured it was worth a shot. I haven't heard back from ICE as yet, but they say on their web site that it takes a while to investigate. But on the other hand I haven't heard form gfsl either.
