GFSIL Payday loan company - real people discussing

I did a search but didn't find much info on GFSIL. I emailed them letters wanting to make payment arrangements but stop fees according to Texas law. I have a voice mail saying I need to call them back & talk to them. Has anyone dealt with them so I know what to expect before I call them back?

Talk to them and see what they have to offer you? Ask for the loan statement and verify the charges if they are within the permissible rates. I will do a research and try to get some more information about them.

I called them and explained. The guy told me another department would handle it since I was unable to make the scheduled payment tomorrow. They are from the UK so a little hard to understand them but the guy I spoke to was very nice. Thanks for any help you can give me. I'm still learning to search things here so I'm a little slow.

What number did you call? I have a PDL with them and can only stop it if I call them...but their number doesn't show up on my bank statements.

I called 3 days before my due date to pay back the loan.. i wanted it paid off, and i was told it was taken care of. the day it was due (today) only the finance charge was taken out of my account, and they're trying to tell me they have no record of me calling.. so they're refinancing again, which is costing me more money, which i can't afford to keep paying... don't go through gfsil...hopefully they wont do this again

Guess what I have just discovered!!! After talking to my husband some more and the people at the bank, my husband remembers that the loan he took out from gfsil was by a phone call and the funds were deposited the next day. We were wondering how ics got his info because he could not remember signing up with them. The only conclusion we could come up with is that ics used the same taped conversation to let us hear for the loan but you can barely understand them at the beginning of where they are calling from which they say is the loudest they could get the lady's voice but my husband's voice is loud and clear!! Anyways they say my husband applied on 6/23 which is the same day the first payment of 80.00 for gfsil came out. The only thing is ics did not deposit the funds until 7/17 almost a month later. Gfsil tried to take out 75.00 on 7/7 then turned around and tried to take 155.00 on 7/21. i called a number that i got off here for ics which was 8008653898 and i tried the number for gfsil that i got from here 8772803359 and it sounds like the same lady with an accent, the options are the same with slight variations!! i then tried to call ics at the 8008653703 and explained to them that the account was frozen to any debits from them or gfsil because the activity they were doing was illegal and was under investigation and that i needed an address to send them their original deposit to. the man i spoke with keep putting me on hold and the phone kept hanging up. I kept calling back and i finally got this woman that stated that I could not mail them a mo it had to be drafted from my account and they were paperless and that's the only way they can send and receive payments. (but i could have sworn i remembered someone here stating they had sent them a mo for payment). I proceeded to ask for the correct address again and i told her i wanted the one in london so i could ensure that it will get to the proper person. she told me she could not verify this address and that she could not do anything until the check returned unpaid and she would send it to collections and they would contact me. i told her that i would also like that she not contact my husband at his place of business because it is state and all calls are recorded (which i think is true after a certain number of minutes) and she stated she would document the case and they will call him on an alternate #. She then hung up on me. what i think they do is keep trying to draft money from a person's account as long as it's open and once it closes they don't try anymore because all she kept emphasizing was it had to come back unpaid first before any payment arrangements could be made. I don't understand--i am trying to give you your 200.00 in full and you don't want to give me an address. mind you i told my bank all of this and they state that they will refund 72.00 of the nsf fees and if they do send anything through they will send it back and refund me any fees. these people are very crooked!!! if they don't want to take their original payment then they won't get any payment at all!!!! I'm not trying to run from my debt but if I can't get anything in writing from them I am not forking over 400.00 to anyone!!!!

Are you saying that they used one over the phone application to deposit two loans into his account?

That's only thing i can fanthom because he honestly says he did not apply for the loan at ICS and I really do believe him. Mainly because of the info they gave saying he applied on 6/23 but they didn't deposit the money until 7/17 and he says the people that called him called him on his old cell phone # which i, could be mistaken, was turned off on 6/23. i'm investigating that now.

If you find this to be accurate you must report this to Scotland Yard and the Barnet Police. You also need to report this to the Office of Fair Trading, the United States Secret Service, and a few other places. I have these email addresses. If nothing they have done before is fraud, than this most certainly is.

i'm trying hard to verify this information. i have his phone statement but all it says is unavailable so i'm not sure if it was from them or not. but if they try to take anything to court (which they probably won't) or if it they try to put it on his credit report, if he disputes it wouldn't the evidence have to be written such as the actual loan agreement and the burden of proof be placed in their hands or else it has to be removed? and if you can barely understand what the woman is saying then maybe he did not have a chance to make an informed decision. Also if you only have a certain number of days from approval to cancel the loan, how can you cancel if they don't give you anything with their number on it to call and they deposit the loan almost 3 weeks later only its too late to cancel because 4 days later they have already tried to debit your account. so when he tried to send it back why wouldn't they take the whole 200.00 instead of trying to take 124.00 then 76.00 the next thursday, if it wasn't some sort of scam. how do i know they wouldn't try to take the whole 200.00 next thursday? the more i think about it the more questions i have that they don't seem to be able to answer. i really think they are tired of me calling them!!!
