They are Creditron Finance and say they are Educational Direct. They asked my 14 year old for her SSN last week! Not good!

I started receiving calls from this number today on my cell phone. I haven't done any kind of survey site but I do know that I applied on the government's site to consolidate my student loans. I wonder if they are selling number databases????

I finally got through and told them to take my number off their list. They said ok and that it would take up to 30 days for it to fully go through their database! Good luck!

They have been calling me and they said it was about a student loan. I just filled out a student loan application online for citibank. I am kind of waiting to hear back from them. I called the number back and they said they were "identification and compliance hotline, how may I help you". I said that someone had just called me & I was returning a call. The person asked if I had a name & I didn't. She said that without a name she didn't know what department to transfer me to. My boyfriend said the person said it was something about a student loan. I called them back again and said that I had filled out an application online for citibank & that the email I received back from citibank was from studentloans.com. She put me on hold and then came back on the line and said that they are not affiliated in any way with citibank......
So.....my question to the rest of you is - have any of you filled out an online loan for citibank or had anything to do with studentloan.com? If so - then that is how they are getting our info & I would want to know that to complain to citibank.........

Well one girl mentioned that she had signed up for a survey sight to make extra money and sometime after that she started receiving the calls. I to signed up for a similar sight and sometime after that started receiving calls. I also have student loans and I get lots of junk in the mail for student loan companies. As far as Citibank, I know they own two of my credit cards so they could have gotten it that way. Not sure, just tell them to take you off the list and they will stop calling.

I get calls from 814-868-1237 daily on my cel phone which is a prepaid time phone. If I answer without checking who's calling then I'm spending my expensive minutes. I'd like to sue them! Only one time did I get a live person on the line. They asked for a name I didn't know. I said they had a wrong number and by the time I tried to say please take this number off your list, she'd hung up on me.

They call everyday all day. I have no idea how they got my cell number either. Whenever I call and get a human they hang up when I ask them how they got my number and why are they calling me.

I have finally joined the club...I have started getting the 818 number calling me several times a day. Sadly, I haven't done any survey stuff and I have no student loans, so I am a bit baffled...if it persists for all, the FCC has a online complaint form to report this stuff...please all who have experienced this fill out a form!

I get calls from the 818-528-2304 number and also calls from 0000000000 showing on my caller ID. When I tried to call the 818-528-2304 number back, I got a recording that the number was disconnected. I have since recieved another call from the number.

I have student loans but they are in now way affliated with citibank.

I also take part in online surveys. However, I have made like $100 in the last 2 years from online surveys. I tried like 70 sites and found the handful that actualy pay.

Thanks for the link Big E.

I just noticed some calls today from (81528-2304, which is California, Los Angeles area. They left no message. I don't have student loans and am on every do-not-call list known to man. I do market research surveys, but never on the phone, and the companies I use are legit.

Just wanted to say hello after googling the number and landing here. Telephone parasites should be exterminated!

I got a call here at work, I answered and spoke to somebody (I pressed 1, since they never will take you off the list until you speak with somebody). I was offered a debit card and a $1500 advance. I just asked "have you heard of the do not call list?" To boot, this was my cell number. Any time I get these calls, I can't be polite, because they will call again if I am. Be a jerk, they stop calling.

I got the 2304 also, tried calling back got the fake recording saying it was disconnected. It's just those garbage loan people trying to hook ya. You would think they ould have a better recording than that crackling recording they are using. I get the 0000 numbers and others, it's all the same scam. This all tarted with me in the last 2-3 months. Probably someone sold my info.. The other thing don't give that social to anyone not unles you are for sure that you know who it is. My wife is a CPA and she has been doing the taxes for some of the glorious people from the south of the border that our government gave amnesty too and she tells me of the multiple socicial security numbers they use on the W2's. It's just plain crazzzzy!

I waited on the line and it offered an option to press 9 to be removed. A couple days later the calls seemed to have stopped.
