I think Im about to lose my mind!

When I first signed up here the recommended company was a place called Delray credit counseling. I always try do my homework so I googled them right away. One of the first things I found is a website that had a list of "bad" consolidation companies to look out for. Ok already not a good sign. I hadnt called them but I guess debtconsoldationcare gives them your number?

Anyway, I get a call with no one answering when I said hello. (from 877-329-5567 no name attached) I hung up immediately assuming it was a telemarketer. About 10 mins later I get the call again! Of course I dont pick up and I didnt really think much of it and off I go to work. I come back to that number being on my caller id FIVE times that day alone! Right then and there I shouldve called to complain but I didnt like a dummy.

So then yesterday again, at least another 4 calls! I didnt get in until around 10:30p so I figured Id call the next day to see what the heck this was about. Then this morning, before I have a chance, at 8:01a they call again! Now I work afternoons into the evening so 8a is a tad too stinkin early for me. Now Im pissed so I call the number back. I get the answering machine/ voicemail and I finally find out its Delray. Theyre not even in? The message gives their office hours of 10a-10p and 9-4 on Fridays. What the heck is going on? Im on the east coast. Theres no mistaking my time zone for 10a and "accidentally" dialing my number at 8. I go to work at 9 today and come back and now again another 3 times on my caller id.

Alright Im done venting. Im now going to try to attempt to call these people and tell them Ive already decided to go elsewhere.

I hope this made sense to anyone whos read this far. lol I just needed to complain for a bit. Dont they seem a bit too eager to get my business?

I stand by your side. But for one second, don't you think that there is a lack of communication between you and the company? The company is trying to reach you but with fail. On the other side, you also had not been able to get in touch with them. Guess, that is the reason of this complaint. I can understand that you were disturbed by those calls since you work in the afternoon sessions but you need to have one successful contact to make things clear.

Talking about Debtconsolidationcare's involvement over here, you fill up the sign up form here and your contact info is sent to the consolidation company in your area that can cater the needs of the people. You can get your problems sorted out with Delray. You are free to choose the company you want to work with. Their is no compulsion as such.. See the ranking chart where the list of consolidation companies is put in order. The system picks up the company from this list.

Don't worry, if you have to vent. That's all right! I think Gretchin has a point. But anyways, I will leave up to you to make the right decision. Hope things work out well in your case!

No youre absolutely right. But at first I had no idea who they were. I got that "dead air" when I first answered. You know like a telemarketer? It wasnt until just this morning that I knew who it was.

Its just the number of calls that Ive gotten and the times that Ive seen on the caller id. It just makes me a little leary of the company.

But again Ill call them ASAP to get this cleared up. Just needed to vent a bit. And thanks for the link!

Great, I can understand your point especially with the increase number of calls from the telemarketers, lenders and collectors who make life a real mess. You sound a very understanding and calm person. Smile You don't panic so easily. Smile

When I first signed up ( at that time there was no way to sign up without getting a call) , I was also contacted by them numerous times. They are really just trying to help people out who need it..

At first I ignored the calls, and then I finally answered. After their speil, I old them I really wasn't interested in their services, I was only trying to register for the community. They were cool about it and I have never heard from them again.
