I am new to this forum. Basically I have about $6000 in cc debt and am looking for a good company to settle it. Also $600 from Cash advance/payday loan companies in local area (will debt settlement companies settle those as well?) Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance

I saw the ranking chart in this website. Most of the consolidation and settlement companies have been listed here as per the customers' feedback. This will help you in knowing the perfect company in your area.

Regarding the accounts with your local storefront lenders, you need to talk with the consultant who will be calling you for a free counseling. He will let you know if the accounts of the storefront lenders can also be included in the program. Take the free quote from the consultant so that you can compare your options before getting started with the program.

I just checked out the feedback on the comparison charts for california. The only thing I'm wary of is that all the feedback for every single company was positive even the one's with 1 stars. There were no criticism which leads me to believe all the posters were employeees of the company?

How about picking the companies from the list and then searching them on the BBB. If there are any serious complaints against them, it will be reflected online to make the consumers alert. Besides, you can do a search with the local AG's office also if there are any complaints against the one you choose.
