Sub: #113 HOW TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MEZEY AND HARRY REIS

To file a complaint against Mezey and Assoc. and Harry Reis, the owner, contact the Cal Atty Gen Office, and call Kenneth Abbe or Barbara Chun at 1-310-824-4343, they are with the FTC Western Region. From the NY Atty Search I see that Mezey is not even in the same office and is just a figurehead, they are absolutely NOT a law firm that they mis-represent on their website and their address yourdebtlawyer.com. Should be .con.It looks like they have many angry clients. TOTAL CROOKS!

DO NOT beleive any of the positive "sales" posts regarding Mezey, I'm sure these posts are done by him or the owner Harry Reis, he runs the show and is accountable and mainly responsible for the disaster that is Mezey and Assoc. If any you want to email Harry Reis, the owner who runs the show, I found it's hreis at yourdebtlawyer (com) and he is in the Burbank office at: 15981 Yarnell Street, Suite 209
Burbank, CA 91342. The NY Atty, search show that JW Mezey (Joseph Wade) is at 405 A Arenoso, San Clemente, CA 92672 and his ph. # is 1-949-542-7661.
MEZEY IS IN A SEPARATE OFFICE NOT EVEN REALLY INVOLVED WITH THE "LAW FIRM" THAT THEY TOTALLY MIS-REPRESENT ON THEIR SITE AND SITE ADDRESS: yourdebtlawyer.com Probably won't be long now until these crooks are shut down like many other debt settlement firms have been by the FTC

Happy to say that we're down to our last credit card now. It hasn't been easy, but is a lot better then paying the minimums for ever. Customer service has improved a lot and they've always been helpful to us.

It works better then a bankruptcy. The court switched us to a chapter 13 and the payments were higher and for longer. So, we're much better offour now. Be your own best counsel and decide for yourself what's best for you. We did and it's working.

Bankruptcy should be avoided if at all possible. I did one 15 years ago and though it doesn't show on my credit report, it does come up on background checks, so any future employer or anyone else can see that. And it stays on there forever. So avoid bankruptcy at all costs.

I agree. My friend recommended Mezey & Associates, since I'd get stuck with a chapter 13 repayment plan if I did a bankruptcy. And, so far it's working well for me. I had a lot of stress and am feeling a big relief now. I cut up all my credit cards and had a party to celebrate. Better to be debt free then be up to your eyeballs in debt!

It's truly a relief to have Mezey's lawyers deal with the creditors lawyers. They're all a bunch of sharks and all the creditors seem to go legal right away now. So, it is a tremendous relief to have them deal directly instead of harassing me. Meanwhile I can focus on getting back on my feet financialy.

Thanks to Mr. Mezey I'm glad I'm not dealing with the creditors any more. That was a nightmare! And the customer service has always been helpful to me. My debts just kept accumulating and I considered BK too, but decided to not go that route and I'm finally getting some of these cards paid down.

Customer service is real good as far as I'm concerned. They're a big company with over 300 staff, so I haven't spoken to the same person twice, but they're always polite and helpful.

As an ex-Credit Counselor we were told by our superviser to go online and post negative comments on our competitors. They were jeolous of others success and did all they could to sabotage everyone else who actually did get clients out of debt. credit counseling has a 75% failure rate, but you don't hear much about that, as they're endorsed by the creditors. The truth is they're just collectors for the banks and will do anything to get your money. So, don't be swayed by the few negative comments. They're probably just competitors, or ex-employees with a grudge.

if you go into this program know this, they will take their fee which is 15%of your debt, first this could take months ,now credit card company doesnt get any payment so after 120 days your account goes into collections, mezey gets paid before anyone, this will get a judgement against you for sure, mezey will not send a lawyer to defend you only forms,is that what you get for 15%fee?

I was a client for 7 months. During that time they took me for over $6k and all I got in return was a lawsuit against me, a judgement, and garnishments on my bank account and my paycheck. I filed chapter 13 to stop the judgement and the garnishments. If you sign up with Mezey you'll pay the price. The previous post says it all. They just send you forms that won't hold water in a court. DON'T DO IT!!!! Mezey is a crook.
