Geneva Roth has performed an unauthorized debit from my checking account for $571.50. Apparently, I have a payday loan that was defaulted, but they can't give me the name of the payday loan company. I am going to file a dispute w/ the bank, but the person at Geneva says they will present a document to the bank and the money will be paid. Can Geneva Roth go into my checking account w/out my specific authorization? What if the debt is valid? The woman at Geneva said she would fax me the document I signed for the loan, but she hasn't faxed anything.

Talk to your bank about this situation. I will not let Geneva Roth take out money from the account without written information about the debt. This doesn't prove about their legitimate business. Moreover, they must have your signature in the contract after which you authorize them for any kind of debit in your account. At present, it is only a fraudulent activity. Thank you so much for your responses. I still haven't received the fax info from Geneva Roth, so I'm going to file the dispute w/ the bank tomorrow morning and go from there.

You must place the dispute with your bank and ask the company to verify the debit. If they can't prove with legitimate details, you will have it as a proof in order to prove your claim in the court.

the same thing happened to me. I closed one account because "Geneva Roth" made an unauthorized debit to my account. When I opened another account at a different bank, the same "Geneva Roth" made an unauthorized debit to my new account. I tried calling the number that the bank gave me, but it just kept ringing. You will have to speak to your bank and tell them that it was unauthorized and then follow bank procedure to correct it.

I had a payday loan that Geneva Roth was debiting from they kept taking the interest and had no phone number to where they could be reached would send me no e-mails or anything in the mail with the option to paydown the debt. This has been going on for 14 mths at 90.00 a pop for a 300.00 loan twice a month. Do the math 2,520.00. So I contacted my bank and told them they kept debiting my account and I had no way of getting hold of them so I wanted the debits to stop. They placed a stop payment on the 90.00 debit starting this next paycheck. Will they take me to court over this I have paid more then enough to these people. Can they convince the bank to continue the debits if they do I will shut the account down payday loans are a vicious cycle, I will be glad to have my freedom back
