I've recently been divorced (2002) and I pay child support in excess of half my monthly earnings. I've recently managed a loan through my credit card company and the monthly installment is more than I can handle at this time along with my other bills. I'm seeking some help with this matter as I'm newly married and this is a burden to my new wife as much as it is to me.

Try the consolidation route. It will combine all your debts into one monthly payment at lower interest rate. The counselor will offer you different payment options as per your financial situation. You can discuss everything and get the program started after signing the contract. Meanwhile, have a look at the benefits you will get in the consolidation program.
