I am SO CONFUSED. Can anyone explain the true difference. I have a lot of debt, but none is late, my credit is okay, my score is great, but my debt to income ratio is horrible. I just want to try and get out of debt without jepordizing any of those items. Any suggestions?????

Take free credit counseling from one of the experts. If you sense troubles in making payments in the future, get some professional help now. If you choose to consolidate your debts, it will appear in your file but won't damage your credit. It will remain in the file as long as you are enrolled in the program showing that you are doing the payments through the set plan.
