LVNV Funding is a collection agency. In order to find out what the debt is about, you'll have to contact them. They're also apart of Resurgent Capital Services. There phone number is 888-665-0374.

They also have a website at lvnvfunding.com and resurgent.com

Check your credit report whether LVNV Funding has hit something in it. If the company has reported something, it is understood that one of your past debt account has reached the collection stage if they have the correct details. Now, you have to get the details from the company in writing. They are required to follow the debt validation process enacted in the FDCPA. Under this law, the correct information about the creditor from whom the account is taken needs to be disclosed. The principal amount along with the interest calculations must be put in the debt validation. Then, you can make arrangements to pay them.

If you don't get any of these correctly, dispute their hit in your credit report and get the item removed from your credit file.

I checked my credit report and found lvnv llc. on it, not knowing what this company is or what the debt was for I ggogled the name and came up with this web site, I found the phone # for them on here (thank you Cevdet) I called and spoke to a rep. who informed me the debt was from MCI. I have never had MCI at all, the rep gave me an old # of mine and then an address that did not match the # I informed her they did not match and that I absolutely had not had that service, she then asked if I had worldcomm phone service I told her I had never heard of the co. before, she then put me on hold for a couple minutes came back and told me that the debt was an error, she then informed me that I would receive a confirmation letter in the mail with this info and that they would remove this debt from my credit! DO NOT PAY THIS CO. ANY MONEY WITH OUT VALIDATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez! LVNV has hit your credit negatively based on the incorrect information they had in their system. You should immediately check your credit copy and see their item removed at the earliest. If they don't take it off, sue them on charges of FDCPA violation for unauthorized reporting.

Hi, I am confused, I am not sure who I pay and I am scared to pay just anyone. I know that I need to pay an oustanding debt to a company but I don't understand why it is with two different companies and why they won't take payments. They just want to settle but I don't have the money to pay the settlement. ????? Can anyone help??!!!

Hi, We've received notice of a complaint filed against my boyfriend by LVNV. We're aware of the delinquent credit card thru Best Buy that this stemmed from, however, they've tacked on like $2,500 in interest in fees, whereas the original debt was only 3000. Anyone know if it's too late to call and "negotiate" settling for a lesser amount than the judgment at this point?

What state do you live in? When was the last time a payment was made on the account? LVNV can be beaten in court if you're willing to make the effort.

You need to ask them for all validating documentation (original signed contract, full account history). You do this in Discovery on the basis that they need to prove up the amount they came too. If they can't come up with the documentation then you immediately motion to dismiss with prejudice.

Steeler fan: Check your credit report and see who all is reporting this debt, make sure they are reporting it correctly. If two different places are attempting to collect from you then you need to DV both of them. Whatever company provides all the documentation and proves their right to collect, then you can start negotiating weith them. Do everything in writing, CMRR.
